| As a manga/anime, Naruto is more popular, especially for younger audiences. Evangelion is less popular among youth, but more popular among audiences ages 20~30. That being said, Evangelion's OP, Cruel Angel's Thesis （残酷な天使のテーゼ）is the most popular anime song of all time. |

| From what I've gathered, Evangelion is still in a lot of places in Japan, like you'll still see products that have absolutely nothing to do with anime have Evangelion characters on it, whereas Naruto has a bit of competition from recent shows like Demon Slayer and MHA popping up everywhere, Eva doesn't exactly have much competition as nothing similar to it is on it's level of popularity. Sales wise Naruto is most likely higher than Eva, but it seems like Eva has farther reach. Eva and One Piece on the other hand shouldn't be compared, that's ridiculous, One Piece obviously tanks Eva. That's like asking whether Ping Pong the Animation or Demon Slayer is more popular. |

| Peak , I would say Evangelion Are you sure about this? I'm pretty sure Pokemon and Dragon ball are the Top 2 biggest media franchises from Japan. Pokemon being the #1 worldwide. I can imagine it must be very big in their home country. Edit : Lol after checking Evangelion franchises is still a higher grossing franchise than One Piece worldwide , That's very surprising. Of course , i believe One piece must be bigger nowadays in Japan because it's still going , there's no comparison |
