| I haven't watched numerous comedy anime but from the ones I have, Danshi Koukoushei no Nichijou is probably the funniest! Tell me your favorite and leave me some good recommendations if you want to. They will be appreciated! :) |

But aside from the jokes, execution, animation and character interaction overall made it very hard for me to not have it as my personal favourite. More recent titles would be Konosuba and Asobi Asobase. |

| The most enjoyable comedy anime for me so far have been seasons 1-3 of Food Wars/Shokugeki no Soma, and Shimoneta. One Punch Man is a close second to the first place tie. Between Food Wars and Shimoneta I would definitely say Food Wars is overall better and more rewatchable, but Shimoneta is pretty damn hilarious the first go through... depending on your sense of humor >_> Edit: Konosuba was good too. |

| Saiki K, Not a single doubt. Its a gem of comedy, with great story. Its not a comedy for a purposeless reasons, the circumstances are created so, which makes the situation fun and hilarious. A must watch, if after watching some depressing animes. |

| I also loved Saint-oniisan .Both the movie and the episodes. You should definetly give it a try ! I have heard that the manga is even better , so I am planning on reading that too. :) |
| You sure will be recommended many good mainstream shows, so I add just two unpopular but good quality comedies: Mahoujin Guruguru and Bobobo. Also, big + for Saint Oniisan. You can try some golden classics (if you haven't): Onizuka, Azumanga, Cromartie High School, Lupin III |

| Besides Saiki and Konosuba, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu is really funny though it's better you watch the first season first. And there is also Chio-chan no Tsuugakuro Shorts: Please Take My Brother Away Inferno Cop Teekyu |
| Arakawa Under the bridge originally I only watched for the romance tag and I am not a fan of comedy that much, but after 3 episodes it was the comedy keeping me tied in. | Any show on my list with the "Hilarious" tag is a comedy goat (Kaguya-sama, Daily Lives of High School Boys, KonoSuba, Saiki K, etc.), but Gintama is head and shoulders above the rest. All of them are laugh out loud funny, but the only thing Gintama does different is run inside jokes to death all across the show, (Zura gang where u at). Gintama is also extremely fuckin vulgar which is a plus for me, personally. |

| Comedy is a genre that's thrown on pretty much anything that even makes the faintest attempt at being funny. I mean, shows like the ENTIRE Dragon Ball franchise, Bleach, Pokemon (the ones before Sun and Moon), Haikyuu, The God of Highschool and many more have been given the tag of comedy, it's honestly ridiculous at this point. I've only watched about 3 or 4 ACTUAL comedy anime so far, so among these Gintama tops the rest easy. |
