| Why do people need a character to be the same color as them to identify with them? I have no trouble identifying with a Japanese character as long as they are relatable in some way with their personality. I also agree that I can't think of a single white isekai protagonist in the first place. Question started from a faulty premise. |

| First of all...I hope you're joking, because the majority of isekai protags, much like most of anime, are technically Japanese. Secondly, I hope you're joking because the race of a character wouldn't have any effect on the plot whatsoever unless you want an uncomfortable amount of racial stereotypes shoved in or some kind of lazy, pandering shoehorned message about diversity... Also..If you somehow aren't joking about this...and I can't believe I'm pointing this out for what seems like the 100th time, black people aren't the only ones under represented in anime or the entertainment media as a whole...So can people please stop acting like they are...
