| I recently just finished deadman wonderland, and the reason why I even watched it in the first place is because people said it was similar to tokyo ghoul. They were right. But that got me thinking, even though the deadmen and the ghouls are similar and have similar powers, there are many things that separate them from each other. My questions is that if a deadman and a ghoul were to fight, who would win? Because like the ghouls have superhuman abilities in strength, speed etc, and they can regenerate, but the deadmen have variety since the branch of sin can basically be anything, but after that they are basically human. | I wouldn't say, that Deadman Wonderland/the Deadmen and Tokyo Ghoul/Ghouls are similar. Quite the opposite in fact. Either way, I guess a Ghoul would win. Besides the sheer physical superiority, a Deadmen would probably pass out from blood loss, before even coming close to defeat a Ghoul. |

| the question would really just come down to which Deadman and which Ghoul but would say average Ghoul has major advantage considering they'd probably ingest the blood as food that the average Deadman is using if given the chance we also need to look at the difference in the technic they're using like for example could Toto Sakigami copy the abilities of a Ghoul's Kagune to a certain extent by licking it or not since its not a branch of sin |

| These aren't the type of questions you should ask. The anime are similar because they fail in similar ways - wimpy main characters without a personality, lots of gore without much shock, a pessimistic worldview that merely shows cruelty but not much. Basically, both are bad Future Diary copies. |

| Honestly, I would say it all depends on which deadman is facing which ghoul. Each individual has their own strengths and abilities, so, in my opinion, it depends who's representing each side. |

| Ghouls would win in the long run... They have the physical and strategic advantage... Deadmen rely on their own blood supply, and depending on the type of ability they have, they lose blood with each attack and blood loss from injuries is even greater. The human body will weaken from blood loss as shown in the series when Ganta used his Ganta Gun too much... Ghouls also regenerate, so each attack is pointless as they just heal... If they were able to be damaged significantly, they could just devour a part of themselves to regenerate as Tsukiyama did after his fight with Touka... Unlike Deadmen, Ghoul possess superhuman strength, so that just gives them that much more power over Deadmen who have normal human bodies... In the end it's a Ghouls regenerative ability that guarantees their win... Deadmens ability comes with a price whilst Ghoul's doesn't... A Ghoul Kagune also tends to have more destructive power and range, Branch of Sin is nothing more that a glorified Melee or firearms weapon |
