| If you really wanted, you can just watch Railgun without Index first because the stories are completely separate, but Index kinda introduces the world and stuff better. |

| Either watch them in airing order or do all of Index first then all of Railgun though Railgun is *waaaaaay* better but you can't really skip Index despite that |

| It doesn't matter at all. All these are made with multiple, random arcs. I started with Railgun, then watched Index, am now watching Index 2, then I'll watch Railgun s. I don't feel any unconveniences. |
| Thread Moved. It's advisable to watch it in airing order. :) And yes, Railgun is way better adaptation wise. It had more budget and better staff behind it. |

| I watched the Index series, then the Railgun series. You could also watch them in release order. Index Railgun Index 2 Railgun S Both works |

| It's extremely important to watch Index S1 after Railgun and Railgun S if you don't want an awesome 16 episode arc to be ruined by a few Index episodes you will wish you had never seen afterwards. |

It is certainly up to you. There are multiple ways to watch. And I think all of which have already been stated. But, there is another way to watch it that no one has mentioned yet, I don't think. And that is in... Chronological order :O Now this will be a very difficult task. Luckily I know somewhere that you can get a video of the listings for the episodes and seasons in chronological order. From one of my favorite YouTubers named Misty/Chronexia. You can go to his channel. He actually recently released this video so it will be easy to find. Be warned though. The chronology is quite confusing so be prepared to write it all down as it jumps from episode to season and back and forth very sporadically. |

I was just browsing around and trying to figure out what to watch next, and remembered that I didn't finish this series. Now I know where to jump back in. (Index 2 was boring me, but railgun is awesome) |

I'm currently watching this stores right now. Just finished index 1. Index 1 then 2, then railgun 1 then S was/is my planned watching order. Are you saying that there is no ending in the anime? I hate that! Like a lot! |

I hate that! Like a lot! The anime covers 14 of the 24 light novels in the first Index series. So I'd reccomend reading them if you liked the anime. |

| For make it clear Only 1 thing matters you can watch whatever order you want Just dont watch index 10-14(sisters arc) before railgun s 2-16 (sisters arc) because its same story but railgun did it much better İ personally recommend İndex(first 9 ep)>Railgun>Railgun s>İndex remaining eps>İndex 2>movie |

| I watched index 1 first, then both railguns followed by the rest of index. As long as u watch index 1 first to get introduced into the world u should be fine. |
