Personally, I thought this episode was only just "OK". I didn't really see much point to it at all. The only so-called background about Lust that I saw is when Lujon reminded her of some guy (probably Scar's brother) that she didn't remember but brought some feelings to the surface.

Other than that, all the episode showed us is that she's been trying to find someone to make a genuine philosopher's stone for a long time, which I thought we already knew (or at least it was implied).

Total filler episode, in my opinion, with no real value. The story about the town's disease was kind of interesting though. Sad too, especially about Libia. And I thought it was cool to see how heartless Lust is, cutting out her one and only "human" weakness.
Exactly my thoughts about the episode as well. Decent filler but not more. And it's funny that Lust seems to be everywhere at once.

That outbreak makes COVID-19 look like no big deal. Also the last episode I talked about how the FMA Greed was inferior to the Brotherhood Greed. Atleast I can say the reverse for Lust. She was an afterthought in FMAB but interesting here, although Greed is just better overall than her.

Absolutely incredible and an easy 5/5.

One thing that the 03 version definitely has the advantage is when it comes to be the development of lust compared to brotherhood. What a super dark, depressing but masterpiece episode. I loved it

2022 rewatch
if i'm being honest i didn't really care about the characters introduced here. but damn the body horror the disease causes is disturbing a good way. though since when were homunculi capable to causing diseases now? we did learn more about lust here so there's that. but not gonna lie, this really does not feel much like fma at all. if you get what i mean. the whole end part of fma 03 just does not have those vibes that mangahood has as well as the beginning and some of the middle parts of 03. just me though.
