Well, we all knew where this was going. It's good to see some background on Lust, though.

the scene changes in this episode were confusing, and i don't really understand why lust killed that one dude person that loved her. well, maybe i kind of do... ^-^'

yes, i liked that i we got to learn a litte but more about lust's past as well, but i thought this was a pretty poor episode.

I knew it. I knew that Lust was nothing more than heartless bitch. I'm sad for the girl that died last, the most. Most of her life picture was so gray, and her end was just...

man the village just disappeared just like that.

i guess the person she helped reminded her original lover back when she was still alive??

does that mean Lust is really from Ishbal?

i do remember Scar telling Lust that she look like her brother's wife??

man the girl dies in the person she loved that rejected her.

pretty sad episode, why did Ed and Al didn't get infected of the disease though??

that bastard horse carrier was the one that spread the disease in the first place.

so Lust is really looking for someone that can make the Philosopher's stone.

so Homunculus really doesn't age huh??

must be a long time since they were searching O__O

would love some Roy Mustang and crew episode anytime now :P

wow what a freaky outbreak was that but i got to say that caught me a bit of guard for a moment i thought Lust was happy to see this dude and that she was reminding her past life but yeah as we know Lust like to mess with people the way she does so we could have expected this.

This episodes is one of my favorites in the show. Lust background story, her feelings, the way she wonder about her human feelings and how she would felt if she was a human, character development, the village sacrifice. damn that was perfect!

So lust is scar's sister in law or was before she became homunculus. I liked this episode, gave some good insight on lust.

This episode is so brutal. Always one of the most memorable ones from FMA.

Coming from Indonesia, I'm quite aware of a similar disease, as it was displayed in quite a number of local media a while ago. In real life it's not lethal though, and the number of cases happening in the world can be counted with one hand. For your information go here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vtl9gN0gTvs
... not for the faint of heart.

Anyways. This is also why the Homonculus in FMA are deadlier than FMAB IMO, because you might end up having mixed feelings for them rather than plain, bland hatred.

Scar is right, Lust is like the reincarnation of his brother's girlfriend.
Poor Lujon, Libia and their village.

Yeah, this is definitely something that Brotherhood sorely missed. Lust is much more interesting in this version. This episode sheds light on how she lusts after the memories of her love when she was human. I like how it shows Lust gazing at her own homunculus corpse in the flashback, as if to remind her that her little rendezvous with Lujon was only her playing human at best. The groaning of the villagers shortly after his death was eerie, a grim reminder that once again life was just a toy for the homunculi. Poor Lydia.

Another one of the few things FMA does better than FMAB.. Give screen time and background info on the best Homunculus there is, my girl Lust. Her storyline in FMA is so beautiful to follow *wipes tear*

Ed, Al, and Winry's reactions to Lydia saying "The Philosophers Stone" was hilarious xD

That's a scary disease...They looked like they were turning into wood! (They kinda looked like Warrod from Fairy Tail)

Darn Lust. That was a sad ending =( I wonder why she didn't really start showing signs of the disease right before that happened though...

As soon as I realized I had heard his (Lujon's) voice before, I went to Jonny Young Bosch's page on here and started scanning it to see which character he sounds most like out of all the ones I've seen. I narrowed it down to Vash the Stampede and Renton. Hmm...It's so much fun recognizing voice actors =D

Personally, I thought this episode was only just "OK". I didn't really see much point to it at all. The only so-called background about Lust that I saw is when Lujon reminded her of some guy (probably Scar's brother) that she didn't remember but brought some feelings to the surface.

Other than that, all the episode showed us is that she's been trying to find someone to make a genuine philosopher's stone for a long time, which I thought we already knew (or at least it was implied).

Total filler episode, in my opinion, with no real value. The story about the town's disease was kind of interesting though. Sad too, especially about Libia. And I thought it was cool to see how heartless Lust is, cutting out her one and only "human" weakness.

What was that scene with Scar about? Did that have to do with Lust too?

Episode that puts him a sadness that want to better understand the thoughts of Lust, but also to know the truth still hidden. It will also transition, but as usual there is also a lot of plot that serves to understand more and more things seen so far. Always better this anime, never boring. *_*

That insert song was great at the end! Also why kill him? I thought the whole point was to have him alive to try to search for a real stone? I guess Lust just felt guilty or maybe wanted to get rid of those flashbacks involving Scar's brother. Hoping for answers soon...

Best episode yet, I absolutely loved the characterization of Lust for once. The episode made me really interested in her now.

I took it as her not being able to control her emotions of when Scars brother tried to revive her creating a monster and therefore at the same time creating her as a Homunculus. Really cool way to humanize her if I interpreted that correctly.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. In general I love how the homunculi in this series are so haunted by their past lives. I was almost on their side in a lot of situations, because it's not like they CHOSE to be revived.

I thought maybe she figured he wouldnt be able to find one since it's already been 2 years and he still relies on Lust making the fake Philosopher's Stone (his power)

Loved the emphasis on Lust though, solid episode.

Definitely a confusing episode... the switching between current and past was very poorly done. At the very least they could have changed the colour or filter to indicate what was the past lol fine over all. I just wish it was a bit more straight forward and easier to understand
