If I maintained good health like one of my mom's patients... Her patient is a 93 year old woman and she is able to live at home without the use of a wheelchair or anything old people seem to need and care for herself besides a few needed medicines. I'd love to age without the consequences of aging.

But I think sitting at home at the computer or TV all day isn't going to help me in my lifelong health. :/

I think I would want to live as long as possible, no matter what life is like. However, it would always be better to be healthy than be a vegetable. Like many people have said, there is definitely a survival instinct. I would definitely rather live for that chance that something happens than die early if given the opportunity.

But at least you would not be as easily bored when you get old, our generation would still be able to have fun as long as our hands are working fine and we've got a PC with internet, much better for us than the old people today who have much less options for recreation.

Whell with science it is an inevitability.
But let's hope that we don't nuke ourselves first, and that religion doesn't totally ban this.

I wouldn't mind becoming extremely old (250+) but only in good health so I can actually experience it to the fullest.

Haha, this.
At least I'd want to age slowly after I turn 25-30 or so.

No, everyone I cared about would be dead. I'd be old, alone and in a generation I wouldn't be familiar with.

Those one day living flies - go go go fuck fuck die. Really exceptional indeed.

I am sure that such a prolonged life would have its burdens (like in all the stories about vampires or in the movie highlander) but it's still life, and there are always possibilities.

I can't understand how some people are actually fine with the fact that our time is limited and we have to die (sooner than you think, kids). It's against survival instinct (I guess old people kinda lose it, makes sense somewhat).

Unless they're religious, then they're just naive.

I didn't say "because it's short" but "not eternal" so I meant it's long enough to enjoy living but you know that one day you will pass away and nothing will change this. Therefore you care for your life. Or something like that.
What's wrong with different opinions? You can put the blame (or whatever you call it) on instinct. It's not defined so you can never be sure what an instict means. Survival - yeah, but believe me it looks different in the eyes of different people.

Perhaps not just extra long, but forever if you have your own brain transferred into a super alloy New Z, GN drive (thus solar) powered robot which preserves your own mind and memory then you will live forever as long as the sun exists.

I'm told my great-great-grandmother lived to be 130. Normally I'd call BS on that, but the women on my grandmother's side seem to be immortal. They live through everything. Car crashes, cancer, spinal injuries, they're so stubborn they just say no to death and keep on living until they're old and wrinkly. xD I kind of hope to carry on that tradition. Just because I'd love to meet my great grandchildren and so on. It'd be cool to see how my family grows.

well I have had serious depression for about 13 years now half of my life actually and I have been ready to die since I was 15. Don't get me wrong I try not to go all emo and stuff. Its not even so much that I want to kill my self (anymore) I am just tired of living.

Longer living people is the last thing this world needs. If anything the world would be better if people didnt live past 60 or so. Sure we all want to meet our grandchildren (if anything) but with the way the world is currently evolving and populating i really dont think living longer is a good thing.
