:*( <----- My face on this episode.

So Meiko and Namura have parted ways, but I have a feeling this won't be the last time we see him. Personally, I would have just stayed with her, he is hurting her more by not going...run away together already. It's not like Meiko's parents are even good ones to live with. Sheesh...

Yeah we'll definitely see Namura again. I still don't like him. Would she - Meiko - really have been unhappy going along with him? Miwa was right - Namura's just being a hypocrite and a coward... He's just running away... Hmph...

I agree with you two. And I really liked the scene where Meiko runs to Miki arms, it was touching.

I teared up at this episode (of course I do that fairly easily), even though the animation is fairly crude by today's standards. I will accept that Namura does love Meiko, but he needs to man up and act on it. Running back to his parents is not the answer (and abandoning Meiko to hers isn't the answer either).
Please don't feed the trolls!
In my next life I want to collide at the corner with the cute transfer student

Although I'd have liked it to work out, but to be fair, if he'd be poor without a proper place to stay their relationship would soon have suffered. Meiko would possibly have had to leave school or at the very least be taken in by Social Services or something since she runs away from home and wont come back. That's the problem with these laws - the age of consent is one thing and the age of maturity is yet another! Truly love renders blind, but readjusting to their new social conditions under the banner of poverty would either have made them a stronger couple or would have torn them appart. Obviously Namura is too young himself to take that responsiblity like he said himself...

I'm not sure why but I wasn't to big a fan of this little mini arc.

Miki is a 10 out of 10 best friend, please note the sarcasm. If Yuu haven't dragged her ass to the station, she would have ditched her friend while still calling Meiko her supposed "best friend".

This series isn't impressing me so far. I hope it picks up soon or 75 episode of this torture would have been more deserving in my drop list.

why is no one in the school fazed by this student-teacher relationship like the students and other teachers asking namura to stay—he shouldn’t even have a choice he should’ve immediately been fired.
the show is trying to portray him as some sweet, quiet, considerate guy but he seriously creeps me out, especially his little smile whenever meiko cries in his arms and why is he throwing a fit outside her house like bruh grow up you’re like 25.
can we talk about how they met when she was 15 and he was 23 like that’s actually crazy how could he even consider a middle schooler as a romantic partner.
side note on meiko and miki’s fight where meiko says she doesn’t need a friend to confide it… but clearly she does cause she viewed her creepy teacher’s apartment as her only place of refuge. if she talked her friends she wouldn’t have to resort to an 8 year age gap.
