Oh so this is the extended ending..got it.

It shows the kids going back to their families for a happy ending which I guess is fine for a show like this. Shame not everyone made it home alive though. That's too bad.

I think the special got its point through. Only 6 minutes though.

Pretty lovely extended ending as this gives a nice and even more lovely feeling to the global good ending! Pretty lovely, a bit short and this should've just been added to the main episode rather than a special tbh.

Agi, Soreto and Tarlant had been shown to miss their sister, father and dog, respectively, but the time Hasmodai was tempted by the enma he remembered a much earlier period with a different family to the one he returned to. I wonder if that was his favourite Earth life?

I wonder if the guy who discovered X-rays was reincarnated

“Read as little as possible of critical or aesthetic works. They are either products of a close-minded spirit, petrified and devoid of meaning in their lifeless hardening, or clever verbal games [...]. Works of art are of an infinite solitude; nothing is worse than criticism for approaching them. Only love can grasp them, keep them, be just toward them. Always give precedence to your own feeling against these analyses, these reviews, these introductions. [...] You must let every impression, every seed of feeling, ripen within you, in the dark, in the inexpressible, in the unconscious, those regions closed to understanding. Wait with humility and patience for the hour of the birth of a new clarity. Art demands of its faithful followers as much as of its creators.”
— RAINER-MARIA Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet (letter dated April 23, 1903).

I feel Detective Cooks should've had a little more resolution, he did all that chasing around and only got confirmation that the kids were indeed the same in his grandfather's photo. It doesn't seem like he ever learned their true nature/mission, and he probably didn't even get credit for finding them since they all went back home on their own. I could've sworn he and Alice had hooked up in the end but I guess that was my imagination fooling me all this time.

I would've liked to have seen all the kids gathered at that beach, even if they didn't remember each other.

Glad the kids got the little moment at the end, would have salty if they didn't show the reunions, especially Aghi and his kid sister.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
