What does 'nothing seems to happen' mean? What does the screen do when you send a request, approve, deny? Nothing? |
| hey, not sure if this is still being worked on, but when I go to view friends (and choose all friends) it doesn't list anything. I knew before the database crash I had 2 friends in my friends list so not sure what is up. figured I would just post the error |

| I just OKed a friend request and it disappeared without adding anyone. My friend list is still empty. Update: Okay, I started inviting friends back. My friend list now has members. However, the first invite I accepted still doesn't show up. If I go to his profile, I show up as his friend, but he doesn't show up as mine. |

| Yeah I'm having the same problem, all of my friends have been deleted. I decided to start re-adding people and they now show up in the "recent friend updates" section but not in the friends section, which is strange. The rule about denying a friend add after someone adds you, doesn't apply here since the "send friend request button" automatically changed to "Remove friend" after I tried to add someone. Anybody have any idea how to fix this? Although, I did add someone right before this happened, and they accepted the add. Could this be the problem? Should the person have denied the request? |

| Awesome. When I logged in, the (1) was there but after clickin on it and seeing there is no pending request it disappeared on its own. Yattai. I just hope it wont come back. |

The same person showed up on my list about 6 hours later with neither of us doing anything to provoke that. All I did was make some other "friendly" denial requests to others and she was offline the whole time. Check back later and they might magically appear? |

| That friend showing up on one profile and not the other seems to be that the person who sent the request doesnt show up on the person who accepted but the other way round it does, like i sent a gal my friend request and i can see her on my friends but i dont show up on hers... the major bug has gone though the one that said "Not a valid friend id" which was weird as hell, the joy of server switches xDDD |
| I accepted a friend request, they aren't visible in my friends list or in pending requests, and I can't send them a friend request as the site says something like "this person's friend request is already pending your approval". Not that I want to derail this thread, but is this 'crash' I've heard mention of the reason why all my messages, and those of my abovementioned friend, have spontaneously disappeared? Will we ever see them again? There was some great stuff in there. Perhaps a site news post to explain this might be a good idea? |

To stay on topic, yes, it is the reason why everything got deleted, and no, unfortunately, they cannot be retrieved, here's a quote from Xinil's post in the Server Move Successful Thread regarding the matter: Xinil said: Unfortunately they're gone forever. :( There aren't any backups around. Steps have been taken to make sure this is extremely unlikely to happen again in the future. Sorry. But, yeah the friend issue is still going around a bit. In fact, I am having the same issue, as you. I accepted a request, and I'm on their list, but I cannot send a request myself because of that pending friend request message. |

Thanks for the info, anyway. No problem. And the server move was successful, yes. It was done, after the crash and data loss. It was a countermeasure/upgrade to prevent the possibility of anything like that happening again. Xinil really does a great job. Back to the Friend Fix Issues Though: With mine, I received my friend request, which I accepted, and I have since been place on that friend's list. However, they are still not on mine, I have the option, when I go to their profile to select Send Friend Request, but I still get the You have a pending friend request with this person already message. It's an update because the other individual has since signed on, and there should be no pending action left. So that's what's going on. |
| My friend and I have discussed this. He removed and re-added me, I accepted, exactly the same thing happened as before. Back to square one. |

If you sent a friend request to someone and were approved, it "sent a request back" to that person, instead of auto-approving you as their friend too (two way relationship). So, everyone who can't see their supposedly "friends" make sure the person you got a request from checks their "pending requests". All future friend requests shouldn't have this problem anymore. Bugs bugs yay. |

I don´t know if it is related too this but the bug I have with the PM´s sounds similair too this friends bug. |
