Early by A-Destiny this week, wooo~!

I wonder how Xin with such a tattered up body is going to fight Lian Po. I also can't wait to see Lian Po's face when he hears that Xin killed his prodigy general.

Felt a little padded, but it's been a long war.

Next time on the Kingdom: how many named players will Lian Po add to his killscore? Can Xin survive this encounter? Who will become the Dynasty Warrior? Will Wei forces be able to repel Huan Qi's special surprise?

The climax rages on.

Sasuga A-Destiny!

Really loved the atmosphere, it set up the showdown quite well. I'm really feeling for Meng Ao now. Earlier I figured he was a given casualty but would be a necessary sacrifice, but now I want to see him pull through. All the buildup and portrayal of his long struggle with Xin giving him the golden advice to top it off just empowers his character quite a lot. Though if he does live it looks like it'll be because Lian Po was taken out by Xin, which might be the same as losing for Meng Ao. I honestly can't see Xin beating him right now though, I really think Meng Ao is still the only person that can do it right now. Hopefully we get to see Xin and Meng Tian go at him for a while, and then Meng Ao comes back in with one final push.

Either way, someone's dying next week. I don't think it can be drug out any longer than the next episode, so next one should be delicious. Hopefully based A-Destiny will sub it early again.

It's virtually the end, it'll be over next episode definitely. Probably could have ended it this ep, as I was expecting them to a few weeks ago.

Renpa dodging and smashing the boulders was an unnecessary and stupid filler. Not once have they made somebody so strong to do something like that. If you're going to add filler make it half interesting at least.

They've really dragged it out quite a while though, and doing that really killed the impact of certain parts too. The further into this season it's gone the more I realise the first season, especially the last arc, was actually better in that aspect.

I was thinking that gee, those were some pretty fragile boulders. Good to know it was just a muck-up on the anime's part.

They also censored the hell out of when Lian Po dropped Meng Ao. What actually happened is Meng Ao hit Lian Po so hard all 4 of his horse's legs snapped under the weight of the hit, and then Lian Po, from nowhere, hits Meng Ao so hard he chops his arm off as well as his horses head, knocking him off the horse in the process.

I know the first season was censored to hell too, but they generally captured the epicness of the battles a lot better, mainly due to the pacing being heaps better. Seeing the animation in this makes me actually prefer the CG in a way, since even though it didn't look the best it was still a lot smoother in the latter stages than the regular animation is for this season.

Which raises the question if they're going to make a new season, since

Wow! No one mentions that sneaky little devil of vice-general actually sneaked behind the headquarters of the Wei army while Lian Po isn't there? That guy is always sneaking around and shit. His such a cunning dude, he really is awesome as hell. From this war i really am impressed by this guy the most.

He's my favourite character in the series atm, and the way the manga is going right now he's seemingly going to be a very important part of Qin's future. There's a part of his that's going to be heavily censored next ep too, since being a former bandit leader he's a real nasty piece of work and doesn't hold back when it comes to brutality. He's so awesome, haha.

They'll probably say he received permanent damage to the arm if anything, like what they did with Lun Hu.

Now I'm curious as to how far along (historically) the manga is currently, because it's possible Huan Ji could be tied in to certain interesting tales/events if the mangaka so chooses. That is, if i'm getting my characters and Jap/Chinese/romanised names right.

Damn, there's just too much juicy stuff to play with when dramatising this period.

China will be united at 221 BC, the current raw (chapter 371) is at 239 BC.
Kingdom anime(maybe 241 or 240 BC) covered 220-230 chapters so far.
Dont expect less than 200 episodes if they wanna cover it all

Well seems like the manga has got a long road ahead at this pace. Excellent.

Shit's gonna go down next episode.
Even though Lian Po is pretty much running this war, he isn't the Supreme General, and it looks like Huan Ji has his targets on the actual Supreme General of the Wei Army.
Even though the Victory will probably go to Qin thanks to Huan Ji, I'm worried about Meng Ao. Wonder if he'll end up surviving the remaining encounter with Lian Po, and live a happy requirement.

It would be odd if xin actually beat lian po.. so I'm thinking they would lose.. or retreat..

Ren Pa destroying that boulder was a little much. Then again, Kingdom hasn’t been a direct realistic show since the beginning. Lots of op characters have appeared before including Shin. Kinda wish they made it more realistic though. Kinda ruins the vibe of the historical aspect.

that "boulders rain" was ridicoulus, glad that the 1on1 fight between meng ao and lan pa is better, didn't know meng ao has so much under his sleeves

why going so far? they will just say he's retired after his long lan pa project or something.

Regardless of the outcome I don't think Lian Po is gonna die here. Idk I just have a feeling. And I wanna see his reaction when he finds out Lun Hu is dead and the killer's there.
