| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Awesome episode. Highlights: - Grandpa Graybeard bakes a cake - Ken and Rei brood together: - "If you move, then... *boom*" - Ken's ability to charge his punches. 1000 punches in one hit, rofl. Looks like we won't be seeing the shirt-ripping sequence until Rei figures out that Ken has 7 scars. Alternately, Ken just won't be able to hold it back in one of the upcoming fights, and that's how Rei will figure it out. |

| Part of the appeal of Hokuto no Ken is the humor. There is absolutely insane violence, so it must be tempered with humor. |

| This has got to be one of the best episodes so far... It really had everything. Hope turned to sadness, Vengeance fulfilled... Some Rei backstory. I might have to watch this series more regularly going forward. |
| OH we had drama this time. Kind of funny how the whole village cry for that kid though while they seem to ot have bothered with all the other dead that died in the attacks. So who is this evil seven scar man? Did he put seven scars on he chest so he can fool people that his Ken? Ken had become pretty famous by going around killing baddies so many must have been talking about the legend of the seven scars man, is not strange if someone thought of using the legend. |

| Is it just me or has the level of violence and gore been taken up a few notches? I guess the fang clan has to get completely eradicated before they learn. And a Kenshiro double? Oh boy. |

| I'd say this was the best episode so far, right next to the season 1 finale. I was impressed by the rationality of everyone except those who got killed; I felt the feels after the loss of Kou; and I was 100% behind the tag-team of righteous slaughter. |

| I have respect for Mamiya, not everyone can still act as leader instead of individual in a situation like that We got some of Rei's backstory and why he is after the man with seven scars |

| Man died for a couple of strawberries. It's gotta suck being Mamiya right now. She was the one that told everyone to stay back. Tough choice. Ken and Rei band together and slaughter a lot of bandits and Rei reveals some backstory. The man with 7 scars has to be another guy that had a run-in with Shin, because it's his technique, right? That's one thing I'm not really clear about: Nanto and Hokuto should only have been passed down to one successor, but there are all these different Nanto-styles. Did Shin train some people or where did they learn their styles? |

| Man, Koh didn't need to die like that. It sucks. Especially for his sister. Seeing your only family get killed before your eyes on your birthday is horrible. The way Kenshiro killed that wolf leader was cold af. Loved it. This was probably the best episode of the series so far. I can say now I'm fully hooked with the new arc. Now I regret not starting this sooner. |
