I think a male actor in a troupe devoted to grooming a famous actress can learn a lot from the process... but he'd have to pay attention. Nice of Sakurakouji to fill in for Maya at the restaurant.

Your mean should be an even bell curve only if you watch every show that comes out. Having a high-slung mean doesn't mean you're rating improperly. It can also mean you're selecting shows well to watch mostly things you enjoy.

I love how everyone's bashing Tsukikage's performance. I don't expect them to do better than the other troupe but I'm sure the critics will be in for a surprise when they see Maya's acting.

From all the anime I've seen I can't help but conclude that the Japanese mass media is incredibly corrupt.

The whole troupe falling apart was so stupid. Stage plays aren't terribly profitable, so most will have sponsors.
Guess those that quit realized they weren't anywhere near good enough that they might be the ones that were being trained.

And those thugs are mad about bad reviews, maybe they should have bought some favourable reviews themselves if they're so invested in the troupe.

Didn't expect a tournament arc in this anime.

Onodera is one piece crap, I hope Tsukikage troupe can rise up to the challenge and win against the Ondine troupe. It will be tough though with Ayumi in the line up as Midori the lead.

Masumi and Onodera suck. I really don't like either of them. I have to wonder what pushes Masumi so much.

Aside from that nothing too crazy this episode, just mostly set-up for the next episode. I'm interested to see Maya and Ayumi's different takes on Midori for this next play.
