| 3.0 isn't really all that bad. I mean, it was bad enough that I couldn't give it a score, but until 4.0 comes out to clear up any misunderstandings, I'm holding off on saying, "it's utter shit." The theories around it make 3.0 appealing to a degree. I'd be more shocked if Death & Rebirth was someone's favorite. |

| I can't choose between EoE and 2.22, but I did give 2.22 a 10/10 so I'll go with that one. I'm still hopeful for 4.0 though. |

| I have not been affected by any anime as much as I was by the last 5 minutes of EoE, so considering the awesome (quite literally) last scene of EoE, I will have to say that nothing compares to EoE. As for animation, music and action sequences, nothing comes close to 2.22. I strongly disliked the crappy CG throughout 3.33 and was very disappointed by it. The only thing that came close to 2.22 in 3.33 was the OST, which in my opinion, was still not as good as 2.22. Oh, yeah... the actions scenes in 3.33 sucked too. Maybe Rebuild 4 will top it in one way or another. |

| It is really tough picking between 2.22 and End of Evangelion, but in the end I would probably say End of Evangelion. It really is one of a kind and the amount of mindfuckery I experienced from it upon my first viewing was astounding. |

My imported Original Series boxed set, my Platinum Edition Boxed Set, D&R/EOE (I have them on a single disc, also imported) the Director's Cuts (Ressurection/Genesis Reborn) (Forgot those were included in the Platinum Edition)...and 1.0-.30. I will re-watch everything from start to finish. Then, after nitpicking every little detail and all the differences between them, I will return to this thread in 2023 and cast my vote. |

| EoE no doubt about it. Asuka was such a boss, that hospital scene in the beginning makes me laugh every time, and everything actually made sense to me. And man was it awesome. |

As of now it feels like Anno just added her in to fill Evangelion's lack of chicks with glasses. |

Loves to pilot and finds it weird to not appreciate the job but still has no backstory... Comical to say the least but in 3.0, she was basically the only fanservice there at the very end. Like, in the last bits you see of her, she's there with boob jiggling and then signs off. Oh Anno. |

| End of Evangelion is my favorite, it's the only movie I've rated 10 on MAL so far. It just felt like a perfect and satisfying end for NGE, something the original finale in the series wasn't (although I really liked the "congratulations" scene). Out of the Rebuilds, I'd say I like 1.0. the most. Yeah, it's pretty much the first episodes of NGE with prettier animation, but that's probably why I like it. The focus is on both Shinji and Rei, and they both get the same character developement they had in the original. Asuka in 2.0. on the other hand is like a cardboard cutout compared to the original. Her character was completely flattened and it felt like she was there just for the fanservice. That's probably the main reason I don't like 2.0. that much. |

| End of Evangelion is great, but idk I really like how unique 3.0 is from a story telling perspective. I've liked how the manga handles the events of end of evangelion better as well so it's kind of hampered my enjoyment outside of a few scenes. Though the Asuka fight is still very much superior to any other fight in the series by a long shot. |
