Decent romance (action or not) that isn't terribly crippled by television airing?

There's a lot of them out there - most not with the central element (usually a side thing) but it seems like most relationships are crippled by the fact that the animators decide to keep it G rated. (I'm talking even kissing in hugs in some things) from what I've seen.

Is there a reason for this? What exists that doesn't bind by these rules?

Well...there's always Yosuga no Sora... I won't say it's the pinnacle of romance anime but it sure doesn't give a darn about keeping the viewer's eyes pure.

Not looking for sex in particular - just a little more romantic tension than most shows seem to be willing to give. :) Clannad did well.

I understand what you mean. I don't get why some anime don't let the characters show their emotions towards each other I.E. kiss.
