| I do admit there could have been more in this episode but I was really okay with the pacing. All the scenes of Laboon and the Rumbar pirates really sold their relationship. They were together day and night, through cold and storm, Brook would sing to Laboon through the night, he would help them in their battles, and they would help him from danger. They were truly nakama. He was as much a part of their family as anyone else. The scenes in this episode really made that clear. So Brook is 88 years old. His crew died and he was isolated by the time he was 41. He's lived alone and isolated on his dead nakama's ship living for a promise that may have faded for more than half his life. The time he's suffered is longer than like all of the Straw Hats lives. I don't blame him for wanting to kill himself and I admire how he fought his own misery and doubt all these years. Seeing Crocus was cool! It won't only be Laboon who has a another meeting with Brook. When they return it should be beautiful. I like Yorkie's design and I found, although it was shallow, the presentation of Brook and his crew was really well done. Brook waking them up with song, them playing together, them partying, everything shot of them made them feel like a family. Overall with the intention of selling Brook's past even more than was done before by showing us their growing relationship with Laboon and Brook's with his fellow pirates I think it was well done! Every scene Brook's in already makes me cry a river, now seeing him and Yorkie make a promies they can't keep to the cute baby Laboon is breaking my heart. Even if Brook returns, Laboon will have to learn he's the only one left... my gosh. |
| The bond the Rumbar Pirates have with Laboon was very heartwarming and it was hard to see them attempt to shake him off their trail as they went to Reverse Mountain by not playing their music no matter how much he asked. The hardest part to watch was their farewell after they made that promise to return to him in just 2-3 years, knowing how things would turn out... It looks like we'll be seeing how Brook's friends met their end. I'll be needing some tissues for this. |

| This was such a heartrending episode. It was so warming to see what a merry band the Rumbar pirates were. Although it makes the inevitable that much sadder, it's tied in wonderfully and makes Brook feel like he's been part of this story for far longer. |

| Baby Laboon was cute, and it was nice seeing Brook as a human and alive, but beside that I didn't care much about this episode, felt like a chore to finish, ah. |
