From common foot soldiers, to Squadron Commander for 100 men. Not too bad. I guess battalion commander's next.

Really amazing fight and some really good lines given. However, I guess I dont understand the phrase "gilding the lily." Anyway, I like this moment when they did the purple thing with quite a few of the characters watching the fight.

Second half was hilarious. Especially the war stories moment, exaggerations ftw. Xin really doesnt know Diao is a girl...and shes starting to fall for him wow. But hopefully Qiang Li joins, guess its backstory, for him? hopefully. Im really looking forward to Xin leading a squadron.

At the end of the day Im still shocked at the 3000 triumphing over the 50000.

In mounted combat a spear always has an advantage over the sword so the result was not so surprising, i kinda admire the Wei's soldiers chivalry for retreating despite outnumbering Qin's men, i liked the 2nd half of the ep better after the 3 month jump. Finally Xin gets some recognition and a promotion, leading a hundred men sounds like a recipe for disaster to me but who knows, next ep is about Qiang Lei, looking forward to it.

Finally the war is over.. and glad to hear that he was promoted to Squadron commander. I was hoping though that Xin will see the king.

Heh, love that there's such confidence in Biao that his soldiers didn't even feel like cheering was necessary. And I liked him even more by the end of the fight, with the way he voiced his respect for Wu Qing. Although I did expect something more from Qing, at least when it came to tactics, in even the one on one match.

I believe in this case gilding the lily was used to show how confident Wang Yi was about winning. That the second-in-command joining would only make it look better at first but in the end the outcome would be the same.

Well the show was very slow to start, I mean we are 22 episodes in now and it started getting good around what 12-14? That's a long time to wait before getting going.

Haha, or get the thug looking guys calling him lord. I loved the restaurant scene. I thought he would be passed off as just some lying brat, but then that guy came in and I grinned when he started talking about Xin.

He got promoted! Well deserved and I'm so excited to see how he grows. So epic.

I wonder if Diao will ever take part in one of those wars. I doubt it but it would be cool to see her fight.

Xin's development is so satisfying. He's already a general after one fucking war!

I'm interested to find more about Qiang Lei.

Great episode. I can't wait for the next arc!

And thus ends the great Qin vs Wei war arc in a great style. The power of shougun.. even though Wei troops had still 50k soldiers they were forced to retreat under the badassery of Bia Gong.
I love how there's stereotypical villain in this series, you could cheer for both sides in this battle.
Xin gets promoted to a Hundred Man General and finally buys some armor.

So...Xin finds out what kind of guy he needs to become if he wants to lead an army, Qin wins the war, we get a 3 month timeskip, Xin gets a lot of money, we find out he's been promoted to the rank of 100-man general, Xin buys some armor and Diao is depressed because Xin is leaving her behind.

Lots of things happened this episode.

That was a retarded way to have Qin win the war. Random backstory out of nowhere which is what influences the enemy general to engage in a 1v1 against someone who's superior in combat. Then after having lost their general the whole freaking army loses moral and gives up even though they outnumber the enemy and have them surrounded. OK.

i'm actually glad they rushed the end of this war, it began being stupid with that 1v1 fight...

so shin got already his first promotion? little too fast i think. but oh well considering his achievements...

50 thousand soldiers surrounding 3 thousand and they retreated lol. Anyway, I'm just thinking, these 7 states that are at war with each other they make up the whole mainland of China right? Now if we're gonna sprinkle some historical accuracies what are the chances an outside power that's literally beside them interferes and not just support a state but take over almost everything themselves. Idk maybe a country that starts with Mong and ends with olia? Lol

it goes much slower the closer you get to the top, and the people you pass up become much saltier and even try to play politics to block you

should have brought up his flanks much faster to complete the encirclement but he got a lucky help on his left as well running parallel.

I always love the endings of these arcs. There's only been 2, I know, but still they've both been great. Why was his sword emphasized so much. Is there gonna be a battle?
