| I really did love the OST "DAADAHDAADAAH!" it really pumped me up. Would have been really nice if they had a 2nd episode that described taking down Kakihara and his small gang but it's still very nice. |

| I was stunned when I saw that this was from the 2000s. I've had this DVD lying about for awhile and thought I'd finally watch it... I had always assumed this was from the 1980s with how poor the animation quality is and the awful dub job. Yes. I watched the English dub... because that's really the only way to watch something this awful and schlocky. |

| This was just super absurd for real. The synopsis should have included " a guy who gets a b*ner by violence, a true sadist who even killed animals for pleasure". This was beyond me and the animation didn't compensate. 4/10. |

| It's been years since I've watched this by chance and now that I've finished reading the manga which I loved, I decided to give this a rewatch and it was as if I've never watched it before save for the opening. I don't know if it's all in the prequel but it looked like they took a lot of liberties in changing things about Ichi's background since I barely recognized any of the scenes. It's a shame that there wasn't a full on adaptation of Ichi the Killer save for the movie but I guess that it's for the best. |
