What is your favorite 'dere' archetype? If you don't know what a dere is ( Or if you only know Tsundere and Yandere ), here's some definitions I found on the interwebs:

Tsundere - we all know this one. Acting high and mighty, pretending not to like stuff, but actually a loving person.-Kugimiya Rei's chacters pretty much.

Yandere - May appear all loving and kind at first, but can get very aggressive, obsessive and violent when it comes to her or his affections.-Mizore from Rozario and Vampires. Lucy from Elfen Lied.

Dandere - Might appear very silent and even emotionless at first, until someone "pulls their trigger" and it comes out that they were just shy. Nagato Yuki from Haruhi (though somewhat debatable).

Kuudere - May appear cold, harsh and even emotionless at first, untill someone "pulls their trigger" etcetera etcetera. C.C. from Code Geass

Kamidere - It's in the name. Acting as if she or he is god, but with a ~dere side hidden away. Kyouka Midarezaki from Kyouran Kazoku Nikki, Amber from Darker Than Black.

Deredere - Sweet and loving all the way- Ryou from Clannad

Himedere - Same as with kamidere, but acting as princess. Possibly Haruhi.

Going by those definitions, my favorite would be Dandere. I just find silent/shy characters the most loveable.

It's hard to classify characters into archetypes so I dislike this system. However, I'd say my favourite type on that list is dere dere.
As a child, I was told that society is a melting pot of talents; knowledge and experience combined to form important alloys that will contribute to mankind. When I got to highschool, however, I thought that it's more like a river in which the water represents our peers while we ourselves are the stones in the river. Constant erosion by mindless majority sheeping has made us lose our unique edge. After I hit the age of 18, I realized that I've been wrong all along. Society is no melting pot. Society is no river. Society is a person, a very skilled rapist, and he has fucked us all.

Tsundere or this so called Kamidere.

The rest is either scary or boring.

I tend to dislike archetypes and classifying characters using a system like that, but if I had to choose I guess I'd go with kuudere.

I have so many problems with that last cannon.

Also, I vote either tsundere or dan-/kuudere.

Oh & Space Brothers is still the best anime ever,in my opinion.Even when competing with Attack on Titan.

Tsunderes, though I don't like when they're too physically violent. Kuroneko is a good example of a tsundere who doesn't kick people's heads in for the most trivial offenses, more of a poetic snarker.

Tsunderes. Not of the loli variety though.
Close second would be Kuudere.

I searched but all I found was tsundere/yandere threads. There was one poll that asked a similar question but only had Tsundere/Yandere.

If there's already a poll with all the deres, my bad :(. I'd love to know what you typed in search if there really is another poll/thread with all these archetypes.

Lucy is considered yandere? I don't know about the show, since it was bad, but I don't recall Lucy acting like any form of dere in the manga.

I loathe Tsundere's. Just thought I would put that out there, because the other ones for me are much closer. (Plus it's the most popular >_>) I'm probably gonna go with Yandere. Kaede was the only good Shuffle arc and Yuno made Mirai Nikki fun to watch.

I tried looking it up again...but I can't seem to find it...
I could've sworn I saw one with the complete deres too...

The real question is why are people more often killed by yanderes than by tsunderes...at least in my expereince...

That's not even a question. Look up what the two words mean. One is only willing to go as far as moderate physical violence while the other is willing to kill.

I go with the Kuudere. Everything else I just don't like. By it's meaning, dandere isn't as bad as the others but I haven't found a dandere character that I like yet.

Not really a fan of any of tsundere's and yandere's is really scary. I guess I would choose dandere, kuudere and deredere.

Himedere and kamidere sound like they would be annoying.

There's only 4 dere archetypes, tsundere, yandere, kuudere and deredere.

The others were invented by western otaku so they'll never be canon. Not to mention they don't even make any sense.

True, the Amber example was quite bad as well, I don't consider her to be part of any "dere".
