Haven't seen this in over 10 years. Man, I'm already hyped & I can't wait to re-watch this as though it were all brand new. This used to be my favorite anime but faded memory took that title away. Let's see if it lives up to the legacy of my nostalgia.

I know Lelouch is Britannian but did he say he was a prince or a member of the royalty? I know it because of the synopsis but I don't recall him saying it during this ep.

Other than that, it started off interesting enough. The opening was.. something.

Pretty good. Liked it so far. So basically, green girl made Lelouch guy super overpowered? I hope he gets these racist asshats to eat shit. It will be soooooo satisfying.

Hm, I've seen episodes here and there but never sat down to watch this.
It's a pretty average start, though the OP is good.
I'm mostly watching it since GBF is doing a cross over event with CG sometime this year.

Wow they're... really long...
So far I can't see why this anime is considered "good". It was a bit confusing and weird so far. Not to mention the ridiculous names and all. But, I'm willing to give it a shot~

It's about time I got around to watching this show. I like the premise of the story and am intrigued where this story will go with LeLouch's new-found power. This will be my introduction into the mecha genre.

honestly my dudes i'm a little confused but i'm willing to continue to see what happens

i don't know if i like the animation style with the huge angled eyes, overly triangular features and such tall thin characters but i guess i'll get used to it

what is this power lelouch suddenly has? and why did they call him vi brittania? who is the green haired girl? there is a lot i don't understand, the episode was very fast-paced (almost rushed) and action-packed which was great and i hope it explains all the ideas it brought up

i can see the lelouch-light similarities - they are both clever and tactical, they both seem unsatisfied with the society they live in, they both suddenly receive a huge amount of power that they embrace very quickly. also their voice actors sound similar, or is that just me?

That general guy was pretty stereotypically evil. But I guess wars do bring out those types. It made it all the more satisfying when he gained that power though!

The opening has one of the best opening songs I've heard, and the ending one of the worst. lol

This show brings nationalism that I never know I have. And I am maybe the least nationalist of my country.

How the show portrayed Japanese as victim of wars, insensitive to any suffering they brought with them during WW2. I know this is a Japanese show created for Japanese people, but still that stink so badly. I will still watch it only to see how far they will go with this.

Can't wait for the next episode to see

For those who don't like the art style, Isayama (creator of Attack On Titan) once stated that it's better to have "ugly" art than having forgettable art. And i totally agree with that.

Finally starting Code Geass and damn the first episode was a banger! Lelouch single handly destroyed them all. The opening is such a banger. I might not be a big mecha fan but damn I love this.

Great first episode definitely a theme about colonialism and imperialism in this series and geopolitics. About too racism and the ideology of self help of german idealist with alot of posmodernist. But great start to a fantastic series that deserve to be watched and examined.

The first episode was too fast but I enjoyed the violence here. Some mecha look weird.

Okay after a long wait I finally decided to watch Code Geass.

Interesting story, so the Britannian took control of Japan and changed the name of Japan to Area 11.
Lelouch is very smart, and I like his calm demeanor when he's in trouble.

Looks like the power that Lelouch got from the green-haired girl is really OP

its been quite some time so I decided to rewatch this masterpiece ..

forgot the 1st episode was a mass genocide / extermination ..

C.C. having the power she has ,, you'd a thought she just order the death of the soldiers instead of getting shot ..

and an entire freight truck explodes , yet everybody comes out unharmed ??

anyways , solid first episode

The conclusion of 1 episode is perfect. Not only the murders but his monologue as well.

huh? Yes, he had a somewhat self-centered attitude from the beginning with the noble in chess but I don't understand the drastic change in attitude and personality after making the "contract", I guess because of the same contract but idk, it was too weird to see

I have to say that I already ate 2 spoilers trying to find the order in which I'm going to see it. One I will probably forget since I am not familiar with the name of the character itself, and the other is impossible to forget, I literally spoiled the end of the 2nd season xDDD

And now the typical speach that no one will read but for some reason some of us like to do (I am not going to translate it since I feel that many verbs and the meaning of what I say will be lost xd)

Im late to this one. Its always getting suggested as a good anime for people who love Death Note (which I do) so Im going to give it a shot!

So far so good, despite mecha not really being my thing. It seems like the story is more focused on the characters than it is on the robots/battle scenes.

It's really good introduction to the story apart form the pacing. I think if the first episode ended with the reveal of the girl it would have been better. This way we could have given more time to digest the world.

Heard a lot about how good this is, one of the few popular animes which wasn't based off a Manga... love how they dove in straight to the action too from the first ep. Lelouch already showing glimpses of a top villain...

Similar art style to Yu Gi Oh and vibes of FMAB... what can go wrong right?
