Well, it looks like we finally got to the end. Such a cute ending, and I'm glad Yuzu made her way into these last two chapters. :)

I liked the ending, though the negative undercurrent for the last two pages was a bit unnecessary in my opinion. That said I'll still give it a 9/10.

I thought the ending was kind of cute but it wasn't really something spectacular but the overall series was excellent, I give it a 9/10 because of the ending.

I have to admit I'm kind of sad that it is over D:

Underwhelmed. What's with the fatalism they both had toward the end? Great series, but ending was way too open. Seemed a bit rushed, and I don't really get why they needed to have random confession man there at all. It kinda felt like this needed another chapter to end fulfillingly.

Wow.
What an unexpected ending.
I didn't even think about that but that was expected I think.
Though it was a bit too sudden.
Oh well.
5/10.

the ending made me so mad, it was basicly, ya we are together, but oh soon his mom is going to break us up, and we wont do anything about it.

It's a good ending, but it feels like it ended abruptly...

It's kinda cute how they felt the same way at the end XD

Great Story, amazing manga all around, however, I will agree that the ending could have been drawn out at least 2 more chapters, and the fatalism of both their thoughts is kinda depressing. Yet it is still a very valid ending type that isn't used much in any genre of story telling, probably because it leaves everyone going "What the..." Nevertheless it is going into my top manga list.

huh, somewhat of a disappointment I'd say...

I guess what was the point of all the recent drama if this was how it would play out?

meh, I guess it was an alright ending. Not fantastic, but adequate.

i didn't think it was "fatalism" as much it was realism. I mean, if you're both mature enough to admit that to yourselves, that's impressive to me. I liked that in spite of knowing what lies ahead for them , they still chose to be together. Liked this manga lots&lots. overall: 8/10

I think it was time to end the series because well they couldn't really do anything else with the story. I loved the manga but I have to agree that in the end it kinda just ended, there was no resolution other than they knew they were gunna break up some day which is just depressing.

They probably brought that guy back just so they could have a reason for Daisuke to save the day, instead of just randomly showing up without anything to say... even though he DID have a lot to say, what with Aikawa wanting to up and leave like she had planned.

How do i put it. . .the end, compared to the rest of the series, was. . .uh, well it wasn't what I was looking for. I think if it hadn't been rushed, it would have turned out great, but eh, whatever.
EDIT: I know what makes me dislike the ending now. I think it's that the story just went a bit too far(ex: Macross). If it had ended before those last few pages, I probably would have loved it, but because of the extra bit at the end of the story I thought it lost something special.

i agree w/ what almost everyone is saying...=( the ending was defnitely lacking and not on par w/ the rest of the manga. it's too bad that it ended in such a rushed and bitter-sweet manner. -_-*

The last few pages were ok, but the overall final chapter was rushed. That random guy just reeked of Deus ex Machina..... Other than that, a happy ending, the "don't move" thing was nice.

I'm kinda curious how it would have went if he hadn't shown up. It seems Aikawa's plans to transfer weren't going to work out anyway.

It was a romance, I think it we all know this wasn't going to be a tragedy and there would be a short, neat happy ending. Maybe the ending was a little plain vanilla, but still very good. I'm maintaining the 7/10 I've been rating it for awhile now.

It was a nice enough ending, but it was a little plain. It could have had a better setup for Aikawa to realized how her actions affected Suwa than the random confession guy. Still Bitter Virgin was a fair enough series that I give a 7/10.

The last chapter sure was rushed, and Aikawa at the end changed too soon imho...

But I still liked the part where they think it won't last forever, not the general "our love overcomes everything" ending... I mean, they both teens, so they probably will go separate ways after sometime.

The overall series was a 10/10 for me, cos I cried at the stillbirth chapter.

QFT

That's the true. And that thought separate the people who have felt the truly love and the people who have not felt yet it.

Except for me this manga gains a 10/10. I was frightened of a very bad ending but in the end even the random boy had a meaning. And for 4 volumes that ending was the best. If you want that someone read a story of deep and real love recommend this manga!

That's it ^__^ and i'm happy to have read this manga

Is the feeling this ending left me with. Also one of the first manga (if not the first) I started reading.

This.
I like that sort of realistic thought. This makes their relationship more "mature"or "serious" than the ones we usually see in other manga, where they get together, leave towards a setting sun, like they were living in the carebear world. They know it's gonna be hard and that everything could happen.
The guy at the end didn't seem too much of a deus ex machina to me. He makes her realize she's not the only one who has feelings nor is she the only one that can be hurt.
I thought the author would make aikawa leave, then make daisuke chase after her and whatnot, this caught me off-guard.
Maybe not a perfect manga, but still very good to me. Giving it an 8.

I thought Daisuke was going to beat the shit out of that guy and then Aikawa would realise that he would do anything for her or somethinig... it was just really lame how he just walked away and didnt put up a fight or anything...

Lame ending but overall great *agrees with most of the posts*

True! I really liked the ending, esecially their realistic attitude to the future of their relationship. I liked it, because it was mature and it wasn't anything like those sugary happy endings, where we have "no matter what, our love will last forever!". They know it would be hard, but still they look for happines for each other. And the last page ruined it o.O... Really, it shouldn't be there ;)

the ending kinda contridicts the whole story. the idea of them not being able to be together only pops up at the very end. and the one thing that could prevent them from being together is the mom? huh? that ending really leaves you feeling hopeless but the reason behind the couple not staying together isn't really realistic...... unless it's a cultural difference that we american readers won't get

well for me, i really like this manga since chapter one, like once i started reading, i couldn't stop reading. and like everyone says, the ending didn't click for me either, those last 3 pages, those negative thoughts where unnecessary and make u want more of the manga. i wish they could have make like one more extra chapter, where they show like they getting married, met her mother, have a kid, stay with the shop, sister coming back with a man, u know, one big happy shousho ending :D
8/10 because i didn't like the ending

Overall I thought this was a wonderful series - even with the ending. The fact that they accepted that they might not be able to be together forever was nice. However, both of them were thinking differently about the reasons for their possible future parting, so I think it'll work out just fine between them. At least that's what I hope. :)

Worst chapter in the entire manga. Considering the other 31 chapters were absolutely amazing, I'll forgive it.

...I'll be honest. I didn't want realism in the ending. I wanted borderline obnoxius fairy tale ending. That girl deserved one.
