We enter a break from all the fighting this week, hey its been a long time since we have seen Shana enjoying some nice warm melon bread.
It was good seeing everyone making their resolve to continue to fight, even though I side with Yuji on this war and wish him to succeed I dont believe the flame haze's reasons for fighting are wrong either.

Also we finally see the ED, its got some pretty awesome illustrations!

Much more calm episode without fighting but it's still awesome. We also could see that Pheles won't just sit and watch what will happen. And yeah next time we are back to Misaki :)

I liked ED animations especialy the one that Game shown above :)

Oh and here it is:

Other than Pheles's brief screen time and the new ED there wasn't much to be excited about this week.

Also, I kind of wish that they would have had more time to add more material. They just threw out the fact that Sale was an artificial flame haze. Hopefully there is an OVA or something in the future.

Just a quick question, what happened to Kazumi? Did she use that cross that Pheles gave her and disappear from existence? Did I miss something? Or are they just leavig her out because this is Shana x Yuji. c:

Well I think the episode had a bit of a dark feel, from Pheles' scene in the beginning... to the possessed mailman... to Chiara and Sale, both of whom I still don't understand their characters. Even Shana was a bit mysterious.

And finally the ED, and it ended with a disappearing torch... interesting.

Hong Kong in detail!
I was surprised that it is so similar to the real thing :O

However i'm glad that they've finally come back to the real world.
Misaki City should be the place of the end and we've already 2/3 of the show over...

I found it dull to be honest.

It seemed that Shana just wanted them to fight for the sake of fighting. Fighting the possibility that a disaster "might" happen in thousands of years just felt dumb to me.

Lost alot of respect points for her there and they have been dwindling all season...I swear she must be blind but I suppose I can expect no less from a tool of the Flame Hazes.

i wonder what's gonna happen next week the episode preview suggests interesting developments happening in misaki. I wonder if Yuji's parents will ever remember him.

I find the 3 god of earth bit different from what i imagined. They are more... friendly looking. And I keep wondering why Yuji never activates his sword (bls... something). If he activates it it can reflect damage back right? Or is it just shana learned how to counter that?

This, whatever chance Flame Haze's have for honestly redeeming themselves seem like it's is going out the window and is instead going to be "redeemed" by some broken plot twist. All of the Flame Haze's this episode gave no reason in there times of "individual" thought where they were suppose to gather their "thoughts"; to the point that i couldn't help but smile when Wilhelmina was thinking that they all fight for their own different reasons... there reasons were pretty much all this... we started this worthless fight so now even though it became evident that we don't need to fight we should see it through till the end! Shana was the worst saying when relating to this like you said that she doesn't like Yuji's optimism because in a couple thousand years something might happen... heck the world could go to hell tomorrow and she is against it because it might happen in a few thousand years... :/.

This is friggin bullshit.

Damage to the worlds is caused by Denizens eating humans, forcing Sonzai no Chikara into an unstable state. Ok, accepted.

So if all Denizens were to live in Xanadu(where there aren't ANY humans at all) all three worlds would experience great disaster in the distance future? GOD WHERE IS THE LINK?

Link= Flame Haze's sheer stupidity.

They say if they continue to act like they do here (Earth) in the new world there will be the supposed disaster, but like you mentioned with no humans, and no need to consume existence since the world would be full of it, their logic is seriously broken.

I think you guys have misunderstood abt the New World. There ARE humans there. In fact, as the novel indicates, it is the exact clone of the present world, with only two exceptions 1) Yuji's home town is missing (for a specific reason) and 2) power of Existence flow freely.

So technically speaking, the Denizens in the new world can gain power of existence freely without resorting to consuming humans. The key is - They need not consume humans in the new world, but it is different from saying that they cannot consume humans if they choose to.

If what you say is true; you still provided the second reason for their stupidity in your statement; if it is an exact replica ( so all humans would be cloned?) and there are humans; its like you said their is free flowing existence; and most if not all Denizens like Pheles simply consume to survive, its not like they go and seek it; to disregard the entire concept simply because they might consume humans... give me a break, they refuse to actually use the bare minimum brain cells one should have to ask themselves the simple question what is the alternative? they might not care because they are prideful war mongrels like the nun but their "noble" war has gotten them nothing for hundreds of years. It's like they are OK with an eternity of fighting a battle with no ending; after that much time you would think they would see for themselves that nothing ever changed.

I don't believe they only consume humans to survive, I'm sure for a lot of them it's become sort of a hobby. Remember that the Rinnes in the very first episode of the series said it was "tasty" when he ate them, and when those twins showed up the guy seemed to quite like the taste as well.

Even if you could survive without eating, I'm sure you'd be tempted to touch the sweets...

Weren't Rinne nothing but artificially created servants; they really wouldn't even need to exist and even if they did they would have to follow orders since I'm fairly sure those "maids" who took care of Shana were also a variation of Rinne even though they looked mad different from the one you mentioned in the first episode. In any case there reason for denying is solely based on their pride and there are many reasons to prove it; this episode they gave no reason except its too late to back out for fighting in a episode whose sole purpose was to introduce there "reason" to fight after their defeat; also like i mentioned before in a few thousand years something might happen.... I honestly can't see how anyone can justify the Flame Haze's right now, i just don't see it.

Not sure how any of that has anything to do with what I said... It doesn't matter what the Rinne are, if they (and, as I said, the twins as well, who were Tomogara) think eating humans is tasty, they might not stop even when they don't need to eat anymore.

I couldn't imagine never eating anymore, even if I didn't need to eat, could you?

If you actually read it, you would see it does apply; but whatever I'll rephrase

1.Rinne don't "need" to exist thus that is out the window, they are artificially created so that does apply.
2.Even if they act like they do and eat humans over there worse case scenario right? there might be a problem, its not even a guarantee, its like not stepping outside of your house each day because because you might die i mean seriously...
3.Your whole "eating" concept doesn't apply in any shape off form because what you fail to realize is that they aren't human, human concepts don't apply at all, for all we know simply breathing existence in or however the do it in a free flowing world might be tasty or whatever to them i mean is there anything to say either way?
4. Your twins tasty theory is invalid also; because last time i checked they don't eat flesh do they? they eat the existence which humans are made off; who in the world would go through the trouble of eating humans when they can get it for free but simply "breathing"; also I'm sure Yuji would set an established rule so here is what you are suggesting; you would turn down free food to instead try and steal some and risk "jail"...
5. So your who argument resides in the Flame Haze's not trusting that the Denizens will not eat humans right? that's your point? well that's very well possible but do you honestly think that after seeing their personalities that that is the main reason? the second Yuji gave his speech they went running because they realized how useless their fight really is; and in this episode they were suppose to find a "new" reason or establish their "old" reason; and unless i got the worst sub group in the world that didn't happen.

Shana constantly makes herself look worse. They fought for many centuries yet there are nothing better. Human still died everyday.

Now Yuuji offer peace (for thousands of year). They refuse...because they know it's not the best solution. However, instead of trying to negotiate and find the best solution together. They choose to fight!! It looks like they come from barbarian tribe, knowing nothing but fighting. Living for hundred years didnt make them able to read the book. How sad...

Shana & Co are now the villain for me.

I agree with everyones opinion about the Flame Haze still comming off pretty bad including shana. Though it has always been stated that Shana is a Flame Haze to protect the world balance and order and she said there are still risks so i guess that is enough reason for her. Though it still seems like the best plan to create the other world to me.

Though in the ed song scenes Sairei no Hebi when his face was in Blutsauger (Yuuji's sword) he had a pretty evil looking smile there. It was the 2nd image before the image of Yuuji and Shana clashing. So Sairei no Hebi may be holding something back from Yuuji, but i hope not i dont want to see Yuuji being played as the fool. Or maybe Yuuji knows that Sairei no Hebi is trying to pull something behind his back and has a counter for it.
Im not sure if those 2 can hide things from one another but im pretty sure they can.

That's what i thought it was; a empty world with free flowing existence solely for Denizens; but even if there were humans for the reason's i mentioned before i still think it would work out since they wouldn't need to consume humans to survive.

What i just noticed however; The Flame Haze's may not believe the plan because before the Snake of the Festival didn't have the Reiji Maigo and for some reason i can't get it out my head that it will eventually play a big role since the Bal Masque was trying to acquire it so long and in the first season it created a fountain of endless existence which could have foreshadowed the endless flow of existence in the new world.

They are so-called "Gods" but actually all of them contracted to Crimson Lords like any other flame haze. The real gods of crimson realm are alastor, snake of the festival and other one who will be revealed later

For the most part, the episode hit the most important items from the novel. It missed/glossed over a lot of detail due to how deep it gets and how few episodes there are left. Really hoping that the finale was 39+ episodes now :\ Would have had a few more flat episodes like this but details would have been much clearer.

So much useless dialogue. So much repetitive dialogue. So much of absolutely nothing happening. This episode was completely empty. JC Staff likes wasting the viewers' time on nothing it seems and because of pointless trashy episodes like this, the actually important action episodes don't have time and become rushed and sloppy making the whole show suck.

Also, I'm getting really annoyed at how characters like to finish each others' sentences in this show so much.

Time for a quick breather, it seems. Especially when the Flame Haze just got off from a very costly, perhaps debilitating defeat (did they just say that around 80% of the entire Flame Haze army were casualties?) like that one. Perhaps guerrilla warfare might be one of the few remaining options left for them now.

Well, to me it's not at all that bad to see them catch a short break (assuming it IS a short one) once in a while, from nearly nonstop combat. It's been a long time since Shana enjoyed her favorite melon bread, too. Not to mention carefully planning your next move is always a vital step in war.

Didn't the the god of creation already said they won't need to eat human...and I think it's just the world that is being cloned, not the people.
I am sure Yuji also said the crimson denizen will stay out of their their way- meaning human and flame haze.
Why the hell there would be disaster in the future...Can she see in the future. And she keeps saying she wants to fight...like seriously...

I normally would have loved a non-action dialogue-focused episode at this point, but this episode literally felt empty to me. This was suppossed to be the episode where the characters developed their reasons for fighting, but none of the reasons amounted to anything. I can't believe that not a single character has even so much as wondered "am I on the right side?" Even Shana, the only one who had an actual logical reason to fight, just repeated what the God of the Earth said and demonstrated no critical thoughts of her own (she trusts him over her beloved Yuji why?)

I pray this doesn't turn into "keep fighting for no reason and the story will make sure you remain the good guy."

If Flame Hazes are fighting to keep balance, isn't that the same as fighting a battle with no end? They can't win or balance will be broken and they can't loose or balance will be broken.

Maybe the Guze and flame hazes should all just be killed off. End of battle wile maintaining balance.

Yawn show is just dragging on.
