| Rock Lee vs Gaara Sasuke vs Naruto. Unfortunatley because of the poor quality of animation in anime, fights arn't usually as good as they can be but in the above two intances it was actually pretty good animation. Luffy vs Lucci Alot of fights from DBZ Hawk vs Takamura Are also pretty good. |

I really like Dragon Ball, but there are so few major enemies that they fight (aside from the Ginyu Force) that they have to make their only trait their strength or resilience because they have to focus on them for so long. If they had a trait like stopping time, dragging the fights on for about 20+ episodes would make things really irritating eventually because it'd just feel pointless and impossible. |

| It really depends. Stretching a fight can be interesting if it's made dynamic due to the actions and reactions of the contenders (as I believe it's the case with my two examples). Eight episodes of them repeatedly beating each other can be bothering, but eight episodes of them beating each other, falling apart, using tricks, making absurd strategies that might work or not, etc. can be a lot of fun. |
| You're right, and I like how your avatar sort of accentuates your post. I'm honestly not sure if there are any shows that have 5+ episodes of characters just punching each other in the face, but the amount of time Dragon Ball drags out each fight makes it sort of feel that way eventually. It'd have been so much better if it was all like the tournaments or the fights inside of Babadi's ship near the end of the show, but with characters who were more fleshed out. The problem I had with the tournaments is that most of the opponents seemed really unimportant. |
