It ruins it for me. I can't finish Clannad because I already know what happens at the end of both of the shows. I want to watch it, and I tried, but I can't get over the fact that I'll watch everything and still know what's going to happen after every episode. It sucks the fun out of the show for me :c

All the damn time.

There are shows on my PTW where I know how it ends already because people don't know how to use spoiler tags.

to every one who keeps saying they cant watch a show if they know how it ends do you re-watch show? do you just watch something once then never watch it again if you liked it?

well do you?

Hate when this happens. I have to wait until I forget about what I was spoiled on.
Especially with my friends. Fucking spoiled who Tobi was in Naruto when I didn't read the damn chapter. -_-

Technically Fate/Zero was spoiled if you read through F/SN VN. Didn't make F/Z any worse at all and I still enjoyed it enough to be a top 10/top 15 anime of all time to me.

Yeah, it takes away the surprise and some of the emotion out of the scene.

if the anime isn't my forte I usually read the ending to see if will satisfy me, if yes then I'll watch it otherwise not.

If the spoiler catches my eye it actually heightens my interest. Happened with steins gate just when I was about to drop it.

Although it would be spoiled for me, I would still watch it but it wouldn't be the same if it hadn't been spoiled.

Depends on the anime. If it's mystery or plot-heavy, then spoilers kill the anime for me. If not, I don't really care.

I will only drop an anime if I'm more satisfied with a spoiled manga ending and nothing major happens till the end.

If the manga ending is better and It somehow gets spoiled then I will potentially drop it.. Maybe..depends how much I like the ending of the anime ending compared to the manga.

No problem here. Still interesting to see how it's done.
It's like watching a Sports Anime when everybody knows that the MC is going to win everything in the end. I still enjoy the shit out of it :)

In the case of "MONSTER", I'm still debating on finishing it, or not despite knowing the ending.

However I'm under the understanding that it's the road travelled that makes it worth the watch, so with that in mind.....

I don't know yet.

Fortunately that never happened to me.

But I think I will watch an anime even if I am spoiled about its ending.

i mean i got the whole ending of code geass and death note spoiled and yet i still watched. honestly, i think it's stupid to to not watch an anime no matter how much it was spoiled for you (unless of course, it's a shit anime) because the journey is still gonna be amazing.

I had ALOT of endings/big moments spoiled for me for alot of animes, some of the most notable being Cowboy Bebop, Death Note, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train and a considerable amount of JJBA

despite that I still enjoyed all of those animes. Obviously those endings/moments would have hit harder if they weren't spoiled but they still hit me.

So as the title says, are you able to continue watching a series, if someone (or something) spoiled the series for you? For example, reading episode summaries, or seeing only small portions of a series? Or at the very least, felt that the Anime wasn't good as it would've been if you didn't hear the ending?

Sometimes yes, but most times I'll be too unmotivated to finish it. I already wasn't liking AoT that much and then I got the whole thing spoiled.

A lot of anime that are on my on-hold list were spoiled to me.

The Death Note thing was spoiled for me (and probably everyone that existed on the internet), but it's still an amazing show up until that point. That moment would have been a shock without the spoiler, but it's still entertaining.

I got spoiled about certain plot points for JoJo part 6, though the series is weird enough that I still need to watch it to understand how the events play out.
