I'm assuming there was a "special edition" to volume 2. :x Because volume 4 and volume 5 have repeats as well.

Obviously, i don't like the top 2 series at all, but Japan has different flavors than I do.

Its weird how the manga sells so well but its anime was a massive flop and barely even charted. I guess the demographics who buy manga and anime are different.

I'm reading Toriko, as well as watching anime, and I do like it, but to be honest, I'm rather surprised that it is so popular - it just doesn't seem like the kind of setting many people would find interesting, even if it is shounen, altough with grown up people as main characters.

One Piece is #1,no surprise.America needs to learn that Naruto & DBZ are nothing compare to One Piece.
If you haven't read it or watch it & you're interested,go READ it.Yes there's 600+ chapter & the 1st 70-ish is slow,but once you're in there's no going back.
If you think One Piece is stupid or suck, that's you're opinion.....& lost.
My Devianart

Oh & Space Brothers is still the best anime ever,in my opinion.Even when competing with Attack on Titan.

One Piece doesn't surprise me at all. I myself love the series, but I still can't believe it's that popular. It completely stole the top 4 spots on the volume by volume list with even more volumes below. Damn! Oda-sensei must feel on top of the world.

As for the thing about the best, well, One Piece is the most-selling one, it's probably the best for a lot of people, everyone will always have their own best anime/manga, though...

Come on guys. Yes, One Piece is amazing, but don't act like clowns. For real.

LOL that made me laugh cause that's what I was thinking. Although I'm not a fan of One Piece (Definitely not my cup of tea) its good to see it sell so well. Lots of money is always good for the industry.

One Piece, Naruto-expected places, it was amazing to see One Piece's first volume on the list, as well!
Ao no Exorcist, it just shows how good that 25 episode advertisement did, congrats
Toriko-I'm kinda surprised it got so high...
Fairy Tail, Gintama, Bakuman, Bleach-even though Bleach is not as high as I expected, the rest is
Kimi no Todoke-it's one of rare not-shounen shows that are selling so good!
Things like Shingeki no Kyojin and Saint Young Man sell so well, there're also quite some sports manga
I'm still surprised about the sales of Deadman Wonderland manga when compared to the anime, it's a big difference...
There are also some others I'm really glad to see, I hope these manga sales are increasing over years, it'd be nice to see that info...

Almost no action manga adaptation selling/succeed, unless its big hits that airing on primetime or something. Really contrasting with LN-adaptation.

One Piece is huge and becomes huger with each year. 8)

Really happy about Nodame Cantabile's 1 million mark.

'3 Gatsu no Lion' with ~600,000 copies sold for last 2 volumes without an adaptation is amazing. I'm waiting for it to end, so I can read it at once.

Allow me to put things in perspective.

One Piece Vol. 61 sold about 25,000,000 copies.
There are around 125,000,000 people in Japan.

1 in 5 people read One Piece.

And for good reasons.

I am disappoint.
This love for Hirasawa Yui consumes me, washing over my dirty weeaboo body with a cleansing warmth that allows me to reach greater heights. It inspires me to be a better man; not the man they deserve, but the man she deserves. Yui, I love you. With everything I have. You are my one, my only. Mai waifu.
