| Not really. I usually watch stuff before any of my friends do. There are occasional titles recommended to me, but it's rarely terribly compelling unless they actually hand me DVDs and say "watch this!" then I kinda have to. :( |
| haha, I know how that feels, not only did they FORCE me to watch it, I was also forced to finish it on the same day. :D that must be why i didn't find the show as amazing as others do... :D |
| It really depends on the friend. [: Like, I have friends who rec series to be that I've already seen (FAIL). Or they rec shows that are 4963808 episodes long. And, of course, there are the friends who rec totally horrible series... |

| Yeah, definitley. That's pretty much how I've discovered all of the animes I've watched is through my friend's recommendation. I would be lost without him :P |

| My friends often make pretty good recommendations since we have a good idea of each other's taste in anime /manga so I usually try whatever is recommended to me. More often than not, I enjoy the recommendation. The fact that they've already seen it / are watching it too further compels me since we'll be able to discuss it together. |

| I have taken up a few recommendations (e.g. Noein and Ichigo Mashimaro, both of which I've been watching recently), but usually, I'll just check out various anime for myself. |
| The one time my friend suggested a title, it was one of the best series I've ever watched. I'm talking about Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. And Kai as well, can't watch the first one without Kai. |

| Depends on the friend. Most of them have seen a lot of the "cornerstones" that I haven't, so I go to them as to which I watch next. I'll inevitably watch them all. Past that, they've all more or less dropped it so, as much as I'd like to say I recommend to them, not the other way around... I'd be lying :3 |

| Yea normally its a trade off with my friends, like I will finish one and then I will show him that one while he shows me one that he just finished. Its pretty fun really cause then we talk about the Anime and we get pretty crazy yelling and laughing at certain parts of the Anime. |

| Well, yeah, if we have similar tastes. And it helps if they give good reviews, or at least summarize what the anime's about. Lol, you don't have to watch the entire list. Maybe ask them which are their absolute favourites out of the lot. |

| My friends when I was in Chicago used to. Out of the series they recommended me, I believe I only liked 2: Naruto and Love Hina(manga). Now, I'm usually the one doing the recommending. |

| No, I wouldn't. However, if they fangirl/boy about it enough or recommend it to me, I would give it a watch. A friend of mine recommended Ouran to me and I enjoyed every minute of it. |

| I only know of one RL friend that watches anime/reads manga, and we have similiar tastes, so I'd watch anything she'd recommend. As for online friends, there are several that I turn to when I want something new and I trust their judgement. |

| Depends on the friend, for instance, if Mai Hunni with whom I have a 92% compatability rating told me there was an anime he thought was really good and I'd really like, I would definitely watch it. However, if another friend who shared less interest wanted to recommend me something, I would be more reluctant to watch it. And really, I watch shows because I want to. No amount of convincing will get me to watch a series I really have no interest in. That's why I'm not watching Monster. |

| I only have three friends that are as into anime as I am, of whom two have similar taste. Neither of them ever suggest anything directly, but one of them was fangirling Monochrome Factor and Vampire Knight. Monochrome Factor I like, Vampire Knight not so much. So I'd try stuff they recommended, but not watch it all the way through if it wasn't for me. (I used to go to the anime club, but I wasn't friends with the members, and mostly they have different taste) |
| Well, it depends. I've been asked to watch GTO and Mia Hime. I thought both were boring, but I checked the story/plot and GTO sounds great. I dont watch anime just because someone told me to. It doesnt matter who recommend an anime to me. (I treat everyone as a friend) |

Not sure, but i dropped it since i found it somewhat boring. So u could say i was compelled to whatch it but dropped it after a while. |
