wow, biggest disappointment of the season so far for me. :I maybe it's b/c i had high expectations for this show, idkkkkk. this was a bit dull and anti-climatic for a detective show.

i'll admit inga was the saving grace of the episode though.

I don't know but I enjoyed this ep. Maybe the case wasn't special, but i still liked the atmosphere and i find the main characters interesting actually. Yuuki<3 :P It wasn't bad imo.

Plus, pretty nice OP/ED especially ED^^ love it.

As expected from Bones, animation was superb with great opening and ending sequences. I personally found some parts hard to follow, but it seems this show will turn out to be good (despite the low episode count hopefully it isn't rushed like No.6). I like the two main characters a lot already.

Pretty disappointing first episode, I expected much more from Shou Aikawa and Seiji Mizushima... Let's watch people solve a crime in bad pacing and no enjoyment for the audience to watch.

2/5 for this episode
Maybe it'll get better? My expectations are lower for the next episode though.

I don't really care what others say but this was a good start the next episode just needs a bit more of a story and then we can start rolling with it. I mean this was one of the few detective series where a moe/loli gimmick wasn't used to draw in the common mindless viewers.

After a moe overdose on some of the new series I actually liked having more stylized art in this one. It was no mystery who did the murder (particularly when the wife re-entered the washroom just as Rie came out of the stall), but as the detective said: the real question was why she did she do it?

I want to find out why there is a need for a "defeated detective" and why the actual murderer is allowed to go free while the poor dead SP agent takes the frame. What is going on behind the scenes? And then there is Inga.....

lol, was bad. I'm trying to figure out why on earth the main characters partner has that ridiculous get up and the mystery of this episode was laughably bad. I was intriguing by that aforementioned partner being able to turn into this woman who can "will" people to tell the truth for one question. Sounds like this could be an interesting hook going forward.

Thought the first episode was great, even the angular character designs.

Loved the ED, not surprisingly after I discovered that it is performed by LAMA (the group who did the OP「Spell」for No.6, which is also awesome)

I don't mind the character designs. The episode was OK for a starting ep.
And Inga was interesting to say at least. The OP and ED were good.
I hope the rest will do better than this ep.

I liked this first episode far more than what I was expecting even though the art is very strange, Mizushima's direction and characters are good for once. Well, he's always been skilled with introductions and concepts but rarely developped them properly so let's wait for the next few episodes.

honestly, among those i've watched this season, P4A, Guilty Crown, HxH & Gundam AGE, this and Fate/zero are what interest me the most.

very good episode, and i'm liking the characters already.

One of the few animes of this season that managed to make me wanna try it out, and I didn't regret it.
Like the characters, Inga is one hell of a trap. That hat. That ability. That woman!
Also adding +++ for a female main-support to actually be not annoying. Rie is cool. I like her.
It might not be the most intriguing episode, the mystery itself was really weak even to me (who's easy to fool) but it made me curious enough. (pre-OP scene? wth is that relationship Yuuki and Inga have? why does this country 'need' a defeated detective to cover up for the truth? a.s.o.)

Opening was cool (well of course), ending surprised me; I couldn't stand Spell at all... but Fantasy sounds really good.

The OP is nice on the eyes and ears, but the ED is surprisingly better. Wow, I skipped No.6's OP every time, but I have Fantasy on a loop. I wish they used the art direction that used in the ED in the actual show. If they did, more people wouldn't complain how bland it is.

Not bad, but they really need to work on the pacing. Either that, or they should've used two slots so that we'd get a 40 min episode. It's a little difficult to keep up otherwise. Too much information, some of which is pretty much useless to the mystery. I know they were trying to make it interesting, but they really should Occam's Razor in mind.

Either that, or mysteries only work in books and video games.

I'm going to go and say that I am NOT a fan of the art style. It's tolerable, just not my preference.

There is an abundance of detective anime nowadays, but none seem to be able to match Detective Conan.

Although the supernatural elements thrown in are interesting, I think it's more interesting in Detective Conan where they need to find the motive, rather than use some creepy woman to find out.

I have to admit that I will love this series! It is an excellent alternative to replace such as Kamisama no Memo-cho and even Gosick. Inga is totally amazing in her expression in the following,

That was most nice and I can say that I was WTF @

Oh my my Inga! You kissed Yuuki? O_O Such a daring little thing. It’s obvious that this has strong vibes to Yu Yu Hakusho and that it has a much more serious tone and art than Yu Yu Hakusho had. Obviously that guy was supposed to die and Inga was some sort of thing that granted him another chance in exchange for I guess letting her ask questions to people to know the answer but to solve mysteries too.

Other than that I totally love the OP and ED. I have to say more the OP and the following,
d0e9730a.jpg
Rie looks splendid there and I like her character a lot too.

Other pointsThis will be a fun for a mystery series and Inga is totally funny.

Yeah but in fact he is a sex. Meaning has no sex but can be both sexes at different times.

Besides who does not say that Inga while a boy may be a loli tomboy. Could look like a guy but is a girl that acts like it.

The mystery just wasn't that interesting, to me. I was sitting there thinking "Are they serious?" because of how typical it was.

I still think there is lots of potential, though, as that was just one mystery. I like the main characters, so there's that. Intriguing personalities.

So I'm not entirely sold, but I did like this episode and I think I'll watch it until the end. It's about the potential, baby! Not every series has an OMFG AMAZING first episode.

Oh. The ED is also the best of the entire season, imo. Amazing.

Damn, that was good.
It made no sense. It was all over the place. It was chaotic. It was good!

People start watching a show and already have a high bar of expectations set. No wonder they disliked it.
The design is just a lil' bit different! Which is ffs good. Before watching it I was thinking how generic the character designs are in the majority of the animes today.

This anime deserves a bit of respect, at least it has a distinct feel, personality. Who knows, it might turn out to be real bad, but at least the first episode showed some promise!
