| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Discussion for the short called "In Darkness Dwells" Really liked this one. Super stylized, just felt like an episode of a grtty Batman TV show. Seeing Croc was cool, would have liked the fight scene to be longer, but it was nice all the same. Closer to the second one in terms of style as it was dark, and more action oriented, which is what I wanted from these shorts. I think this'll end up as my favorite of the bunch. |

| So far, this is my favorite as well. I like the idea of the underground corpse transportation system, somehow. The gritty noir dialog like "It looks dirty" and "I work through pain" seem to go rather well, and almost avoid being cheesy. It was nice and dark, as to be expected of the franchise. |
| Written by David Goyer who wrote Batman Begins. I dont like his scripts usually, but he's one of the few highlights of this OVA. |

| This was my favorite one. The animation style/quality was superb, the BGM fit perfectly, and the story was great. This is one of the highlights of this OVA. |

| This was a great episode and as far as content, the best so far. The music was also amazing. I agree that this along with the 2nd episode have captured the right mood for batman. I was a little disappointed that the characters didn't really look too familiar, but overall this episode felt like a real episode of something while the others have felt more like little specials. Enjoyment-wise I think I still like ep 2 equally to this one, but objectively I think this episode stands head and shoulders above the previous. |
| Definitely a highlight for the OVA. I liked the story and it had pretty nice action, this is exactly what I expect of Batman. |

| Great episode. This compared to the previous three is a major improvement. I agree that this one felt more like an actual episode and less like a short. The darkness and overall feel of Batman was there and the music was great. Madhouse did an exceptional job. Not much in terms of story but the quality of everything makes up for it. Also I loved Scarecrow's design. I was also expecting a longer battle with Killer Croc but they were probably only allotted so much time which is a shame. This was the first episode that felt like it could have gone with the old animated series and would have been among the best if it were full length. This episode also showed the villains from Arkham are still on the loose. |

| Obviously the best one so far, closest to "the Batman feel" thanks to the great atmosphere. |

| I felt sorry for Croc even if he was a bad guy, his back story brought me sincerity for me. This was a good thanks, but he is a stubborn one for not boarding the helicopter even though he was injured. |

| Not my favorite. I liked the animation when they were talking but not so much during the action scenes. The whole thing felt like it lacked creativity. |
| i like the art style of this one its has a lot of black shadings but the animation or sakuga could have been better though but damn Batman did not capture the Scarecrow and Croc criminals on this one |
