Ship-wise, this is the most fulfilling Yuru Yuri episode for me so far, next episode's probably gonna be all Ayano/Kyoko shiptease again thanks to Chitose's fantasizing. I don't really know why, but only Sakurako/Himawari and Yui/Kyoko seem to give off that "couple"-vibe, the rest is either purely one-sided or product of a yuri fangirl's fantasy :P Well you more or less nailed it down there, can't say much more :P (until the next episode) .. This episode was Kyouko eccentric. In fact I wanted to jump Kyouko so bad with her face in the following, OMG that was so delicious and her bath fan service was just right as well as the plastic bowl in the face in the spoiler The next best thing of Kyouko x Yui is the following picture,  MOE overload meter blowout. | Loled at the beginning's Akarin. There was a UFO up there! And no Akarin on the screen... I wonder how they will make her in next episode... Kyoko and Yui's relation was warm and fuzzy. They have been supporting each other as good friends. Sometimes Yui seemed embarrassed by Kyoko's close attitudes... It means she...? But I felt the tempo of gag conversations was kind of bad. I think they need speedier tsukkomi. geezer said: there was no explanation about what happened after the kouhais left) and added some (yes, who'd have thought that) emotional depth to Yui and Kyoko's relationship. I think the scenes were added on independent book. |

| Not as enjoyable as the previous episodes but a bit a story is also nice. Kyouko is certainly lively and it's a shame we never got the see the vice president again with her tsundere behavior. |

| Okay, this show is rapidly becoming freaking hilarious. The misleading opening was just priceless. I think the very concept of a character who seems like she should be the main character because of all the main character cliches she displays, but doesn't get any time in the spotlight because of how bland she is for that very reason is just worth it's weight in gold. Someone should be taking notes because that right there. That is how parody is done. Yui is awesome and blondie is great when she's with Yui. Not so much when she's with Chibiusa. Dragon Quest 7 particularly seems like it would be a match to me. Also note that since Akira Toriyama does the character designs for that series, his trademark spiky hair often has a bit of a presence. Though admittedly I haven't played a lot of dragon quest myself. Certainly I've never actually touched DQ7. Didn't have a playstation back then. What is your IMO on why their execution is done well? Here's the initial gag. After that they made a bit of a running gag out of Osaka envisioning and dreaming progressively stranger things about that chiyo and her hair. The gundam funnels in particular feels reminiscent to me of a couple where the buns were thinking for her, and if you removed them the chiyo body would flop down like a rag doll or puppet. I don't really know much about execution, but they really do seem to be playing with the various cliches and archetypes and using them in atypical ways. Like Yui would typically just be a straight man on the sidelines occasionally chipping in with something witty. However here she gets a lot more focus than her zany cohorts. Every time blondie threatens to steal the spotlight with some overplayed lesbian antics Yui steps in and immediately the spotlight's on her again. Despite being surrounded by zany off the wall "exciting" archetypes, they're all gathered around her rather than her being the tag-along. Or moments like the tsundere couple where we've got a typical "their feelings have reached me despite their not using their words" moment, but then we saw that she'd been thinking something else entirely more in line with what we actually know about her character. Insert a dose of reality into a standardized fictional moment and you've got yourself some comedy. I mean, I'm not terribly well studied on the anatomy of comedy, but at the end of the day the important thing is really that I'm laughing. Really enjoying this. |
| This episode was great. It slowed down the pace, which was necessary so that the show didn't become boring, and added some depth to the characters (Yui and Kyoko). The Scenes with Yui and Kyoko talking took this show above just another fanservice series....though the next episode seems to satiate that in the viewers lol. And of course any scene involving Kyoko was hilarious (loved the doorbell ringing scene and the lack of presence from Akari ^_^) This shaping up to be a really good series....can't wait for next weeks episode :D |

| Yui's appearance reminds me somewhat Iwasawa Masami from Angel Beats. Kyouko is funny but a bit annoying sometimes. |

Most would deal with the realization that their main character wasn't noteworthy in an entirely different fashion. | Akari's precence didn't even last in the intro this time. The cameraman got sidetracked. xD Ding-dong, ding-dong, ding-dong "FINE, COME IN!" *tug* xD Kyoko was just too funny this episode. They even ended up staying up all night to make her homework because she forgot... again! |
