For those that do not know, it's a show about Japan (in general) made by Danny Choo whom most of you would have heard of http://www.dannychoo.com/.

That's the trailler. Probably aimmed more so at 'weeaboo's but still, it's relevant to my interest. Danny Choo also wrote up a nice 'article' about how he got into Japan and it might be worth reading for those that are bored/have spare time -- quite an interesting read I might say.

Preview of season 1.

You've gotta start at the 'weeaboo' stage if you want to pursue Japan further. Well, not really but yeah really.

There were many, many things in that video that made me cringe, but others looked nice. I second the bike thing, that was impressive.
I particularly laughed at the scenes with ninja and samurai people doing random stuff, they looked like they were having some real fun and I like it when people embrace their childishness like that without caring what other people think.

Might follow for a bit in hope of seeing a bit on how the animation process takes place since it's bound to be at least a bit interesting. I'll gladly skip all of the parts about figurines, gundam models, ecchi posters, food and japanese girls doing moe moe kyun though.

At least the money he has for doing whatever he's doing allows for some high quality photos of Japan with his top tier camera.

Regarding the culture thing, maybe if he does stuff on animation studios, but it's probably mostly going to be on "otaku stuff" like figs/products, events, other misc JP culture.

man bro, feel like that shit has been so 'overexposed' and 'over-focused', wish they'd actually go beyond that superficial stuff. wish they'd focus on something better, like, 'why do japanese ppl smell so good' 'why don't they take showers in the morning' etc.

True. That actually sounds very interesting.
Its the little cultural differences that are more personal that are the most interesting.

At 2:05 on the trailer...

"zomg I know that place!"

...was what went through my head. This is why.

But I don't know what's worse. That this exists, or that I probably wouldn't mind watching an episode.

Something like this? Otaku stuff

This seiyuu can speak fluent English. She had a sexy cosplay as a maid in one of the episodes but I don't know which.

No

There's also a figure of that girl that's on the car, it's sold at a bargain price but is never worth the $10.

Wow the girl at 0:27 was freakin' cute as hell.

The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed, the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die. And the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.

I will definitely read the article and watch season 1. I missed out on a lot of stuff when I went to Japan. Their culture is so interesting and...different.

While I can easily say we're all anime fans here - Culture Japan comes across as tacky. But I've got to applaud them for catering to a set audience, it's just not my cup of tea.
