After looking up who she is... seems pretty prominent, which probably means she's made a good income from her time voice acting and has every right to retire early, I say. I, admittedly, don't have any loyalty to any voice actor in particular, unless I know them to be cool people outside of their acting career (that is, I've seen them on a talk show or at a con or something and liked them from that). It's always a bit of a shame when someone whose work you appreciate stops doing that work, for one reason or another, but she can do whatever she likes. | People are raging about it? I barely even knew, let alone cared. She's just an actress and singer, not a goddess (although I'm sure all too many people would argue that point). People need to get over media celebrities. It's not just Japanese pop-idols I'm talking about, either. I'm talking about everyone, everywhere. The level of obsession society has over all of these actors and singers is disgusting. I mean, for Christ's sake, they work in the entertainment industry, the most superfluous, unnecessary, and uninfluential industry in existence! The industry is literally born of excess. It exists because we have nowhere else to throw our money. Sure Haruhi is Comedy, but there's no reason to compare them, since Haruhi is not a gag or a parody anime. Anyways, since I don't believe the Haruhi LN are ever going to end.....not in the near future anyways. There's no need to worry about the anime, if anything a new VA might be better. |
