| I've noticed that some of the greatest openings out there are for series that are actually not very good. Can you think of some examples? Here are mine: - This Ugly yet Beautiful World - Strawberry Panic - Ai Yori Aoshi - Kobato (sort of) - Rozen Maiden |
| 07-Ghost and A-Channel come to mind. Kuroshitsuji is also pretty average as a series, but has a good opening and fantastic endings. The opening to Koreha Zombie Desuka? is also pretty decent although the series is highly disappointing. |

| Hmm, I rather enjoyed Rozen Maiden and ore wa Zombie Desu ka? was actually better then I expected. I do agree both had really cool openings. Mine would have to go to: Jikuu Tenshou Nazca - This series is mediocre at best but the opening is really dramatic. |
| don't know if it realy counts but "bleach" realy has it's ups and downs. i know lot's of you right out hate this show. but i liked it but it dragged out to long most fillers where REAAAALY boring and now i just dropped it... |

| Tenjou Tenge (The OP is the only part that's silly in a good way) Angel Beats! Highschool of the Dead Devil May Cry Shakugan no Shana (Joint is pretty good, anyway) Umineko no Naku Koro ni (the ED is even better) Senkou no Night Raid (sort of catchy and the lyrics are hilariously cheesy. The preview song takes the cake, though.) |

| Fractale. Great opening, but so much wasted potential in the show itself. Harbor Light Monogatari has some pretty decent songs, probably better than the ones in Fancy Lala, but the OVA they were in was so awful. Iketeru Futari has a pretty nice OP too, but the anime is a generic harem that was probably the start of J.C. Staff's love affair with tsunderes, although they still produced good (read: tsundere-free) anime for a while afterwards. Also, hasn't this been done before? It's pretty hard to search, but I remember calling out Higurashi in a thread with an extremely similar title to this one. |

| I'd have to say the series I'm watching right now, Speed Grapher. I liked the first ep. I liked that he was just a photograper and not a super powered something. The enemies are getting weirder and there's so many half assed emotional moments. I'm 7 eps in now and about to drop the show. |

The OP to the TV series was a lot more endearing. Going into my 7s, I was never fond of Top wo Nerae's OP, and the Shigofumi OP was typical Ali Project fare that has been heard a million times before. |

| Two of the famous examples that have been mentioned through the years have been: Himiko Den's Pure Snow Opening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9vCCWyapZs and Lodoss War TV series Opening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-M04j0j37rI The Openings were the best part of both series. But the series themselves were pretty disappointing. :( |

Thinking about it Chaos;Head had some of the best insert songs I've ever seen in an anime, despite the series itself being horribly bad. Also agree with MariaHolic. It's an average show, but the OP and ED are both great. Plus that damn ending is catchy as hell and is still stuck in my head. Hayate no Gotoku!'s first OP, first and second ED, Basquash!'s OP and Ore no Imouto's OP come to mind now too. Oh, and Baka to Test's OP is super catchy even if the show is massively hit and miss. |

| Shugo Chara Party! not the live action opening the opening sequence to the anime. Amastuski Air (TV) it was a meh show, but the opening was way better. 11 Eyes I loved some of the Naruto openings same for Bleach too Kuroshitsuji II The second opening of the second half of Tsubasa Chronicles Not an opening, but I loved the ending to the X movie. |

It fits really well with the show itself. Must admit the first thing that comes to mind for bad opening for a good show was Hourou Musuko, and that's entirely due to the animation rather than the song itself. |

| I am not sure if this counts but i really liked the opening song to MD Geist "Merciless Soldier". The soundtrack was the only good thing about MD Geist anyway. |
| Sister Princess: Repure Good OP, not so good series as Season 1 is way better, it was supposed to be based more on the novel well it didn't do the novel justice due to the ending segments taking up the time, a 20 minute anime would have been better than 15. |

| Nabari no Ou. Pretty sure this is like the third topic for me to post this. CRAWL by veltpunch is one of the best songs I ever heard, while Nabari no Ou is one of the most average shows I've seen (and could not continue). Action scenes were lame. Comedy bits all come from gay moments when I'm pretty sure the main guy isn't even gay. To be fair I probably should've watched half of it to make a decision, but I'm no means a completist just to torture myself with mediocrity. |
