Why did Inori say "Labyrinth? Here?" because it's kind of obvious that someone trying to take over the world would be pretty much everywhere, right?

Oh my, this is the best episode yet and is one of the best episodes in the Precure franchise I've seen.

At first, we see Cure Berry tending for Chiffon only due to her desired luxury in obtaining a new power-up. These scenes are very important as they help show us how she changes over the course of the episode; are the foundation for her realized and improved mother-figure responsibilities and characteristics later in the episode. These scenes also play as build-up for the eventual conflict/resolution.

The flashback scene with Miki's mother acts as the trigger for Miki's realization in that she needs to take better care of Chiffon. Miki puts herself in Chiffon's shoes because she can relate what was once her afraid and sadness as a child to the thought that Chiffon may be having similar feelings at the current time. In the flashback when her mother finally finds her, they both cry in each others' arms; Miki because she was scared, and her mother was crying as well because she cares deeply for her daughter. Referencing back to the beginning of the episode, the scenes where she was attempting to take care of Chiffon is the foundation for her motherly-figure behavior she now displays. By this, I mean said scenes are another part of the episode which serve as important build-up material that help allow Miki to later realize that what's truly important is the love and care required when taking care of a child.

A theme in this episode includes responsibilities, importance, and love when taking care of a child. It's one of the more mature themes that I've seen in the Precure franchise so I really liked this episode and wanted to share my thoughts on it.

I'm afraid I'm not buying that a drastic change of heart came so easily.

Miki is by far the most shallow and selfish Precure I have seen yet, as well as the first that I dislike moreso than liking or not caring. It would take a much harder-hitting or longer-burning development for me to believe she suddenly started caring about others a lot more.

Just give it a few episodes. I hear the annoying "I'm perfect~" gag coming back already.

Miki has always been pretty self-centered and a bit shallow but I don't think that necessarily makes her bad to the point of not caring about anyone but herself. She's been shown more than once to care about Inori, Love and her brother in particular, so I could buy that she simply didn't understand what kind of bond she was supposed to form with Chiffon in order to become stronger as a Precure and better as a person. There are also more than enough episodes left for her character to grow, so I don't doubt that she'll become more likeable as the show goes on.

D'aww, man this entry is god tier so far, another episode I loved.

Miki tried way, way too hard at first just to try to get Blurun from Chiffon, not really caring about her but just doing whatever book said and hoping that worked, seeing her mother worried about a possible child was so funny and also built up for the talk they had where Miki remembered how afraid she was the day she was hiding alone and how happy she felt when her mother appeared and hugged her of pure relief for seeing that she was fine. It's no surprise that after that she went to do the same to Chiffon, and now with love being there she could get the Blurun and eventually save the day defeating a sandwich.

I would be lying if I said I didn't tear up a bit when Miki hugged Chiffon, that was so heartwarming!

I've noticed that Fresh Precure's main cast seem older than all the other groups, but because of that, does it mean Fresh Precure's target audience is also older? It seems like some of its general messages are directed towards an older audience, if just because an older viewer would most likely encounter such issues. That being said...is this episode insinuating Miki's mother thinks she had a baby in secret? That's...I'm not sure how to react to that.

Anyways, In the last episode, I wondered if Fresh Precure was trying to address issues of growing up, and I think this episode solidified it. It's really trying to address motherhood. Wow. That's new.

EDIT: Oh, I just realized that the main cast is 14, just as most of the other Precures. I guess the character design just made them look taller?
