Meh, why again did Chika have to die? The whole transfer consciousness into technology wasn't exactly elaborated that well.

Okay action scenes, not much of a story and pretty poor adaptation in relation to the Marvel Universe. 4/10 for the series.

Wow, what an incredibly weak finale. The whole series was poorly written but they really outdid themselves this time. 4/10 and that's being kind.

Stark didn't seem like the Genius he really is in this anime. And this finale was shit, not because Chika died or Sakurai died... but because it was actually shit.

I have a question though... Where the hell are the other Iron Man suits? Back in America? And the suit that Chika was wearing... ISN'T THAT TONY'S TECHNOLOGY?! Isn't that the same technology as the Extremis suit?

Actually maybe i'll be extremely generous and give it a 7/10

I never seen any movie-cartoon-comic about Ironman and I have a question:
Is Ironman that weak that any enemy he encounters beats him up?

Good end. Wait what? Everyone dies except that annoying reporter who had no real role, but to be annoying?

What Iron man gets his ass kicked in a boring fist fight with a crazed japanese who wants to reinvigorate Japan by renaming it Zodiac? Oh wait he fires one giant lazer at him and he dies too.

Well there were a few exciting moments, but for a finale, that wasn't so grand. What bothered me most is the whole Chika vs Stark thing. It was rushed and there was no need for her to try and take her own life if she was going to 'fuse' with the reactor anyway.

Overall this series wasn't great, but I'll give it a 6/10 because I found it to be really entertaining, with the exception of the one episode that I hated so much I considered dropping it.

Very average series with rather weak end.
The anime was entertaining at moments but annoying as well.
6/10 from me.

One thing about manga/anime adaptations of american comics is that they usually only take the basic concepts of the series. Which means that Extremis wouldn't even be introduced into this show, so it would be hard to explain it.

As for the final episode, it was really rushed. This could've been stretched out to another episode to give a more definitive ending. But instead, they wasted so many episodes on a "villain of the week" story instead of getting to the core story. They never even explained what they did with Chika's consciousness in the system afterwords.

I'm hoping Wolverine might be better, but my expectations are low after seeing the promos in the past few episodes & his cameos in this show.

This was kinda bad overall but gonna give it 6/10 because I love madhouse artstyle. Thats about the only thing that was kinda OK for me and the rest was really mediocre to bad.

Well at least Wolverine cant be worse than this heh ???

For someone who has never given two shits about American comics I give this an 8/10 for everything besides the last episode. Damn i hate rushed finales. They could of cut 2-3 episodes though and separated the last episode into 2-3 instead. Why must finales be so rushed.

" instead of one, ultra-giant-epic fight scene, they crammed in the fail/stupid fight between Chika and Tony, then the love scene... and so on."

I agree. I also found the plot about Chika being in Zodiac unexplored. If they had given more time to that and to the romance, the series would've had more impact.

Yinsen's reason for becoming a Zodiac member were very lame too. Kuroda being the big baddy was also very obvious.

Also, Tony got beat up too many times AND won just by using "spirit" too many times. While that happens, it's not his style.

In the end, the show was bland. It never sucked, but never got really exciting.

They should either have one of the good comic writers in the USA as the show's writer or leave the japanese studio to do his own version of the character. If they keep doing the marvel anime like that, they'll probably end like this one.

Well the plot was way too predictable and the script itself was pretty bad >_>
And the whole StarkXChika thing was unexplored and what did Kuroda do to her again for her turn into that robot thing??? o.o And her death itself was such a "LULZ"

And also why did MADHOUSE underpower Iron Man? Same with the enemies they were freaking weak wtf...

Only character that was fairly good was Sakurai IMO and his suit was pretty cool too...

The problem is they tried to combine both American comics and Japanese manga culture in this which turned this into a clusterfuck...
^ Hopefully Wolverine anime would be better since he does have a past/story in Japan in the comics :|

I myself is a big fan of Iron Man so i am pretty disappointed by this adaptation.

5/10 but i am giving it a 6/10 for the effort they put in to it :P

Quite a good end, altough a bit rushed. Don't understand all the hate about this series. I read Iron man episodes from the 70's, the 80's and so on and I think that the character has changed lot during the decades.

There were quite a few scenario ellipses but it was an enjoyable series.
My only regret: why did they not use one of the classical Iron man's villains, such as the Mandarin, the controller, the Spy master, the crimson dynamo? It would have been a better anime with a charismatic villain.

All in all, i enjoyed Iron man.

Even if there is we will never know about it. Such a thing is an enemy to a capitalistic society based on profit. If anyone decided to even attempt it he would be kill immediately.

You know when you watch a show where the title is the name of a superhero, you expect that at least in some point he will kick some ass, save the day and generally have an awesome moment. Unfortunately Iron Man was more like punchbag than a hero in this anime.
The other big problem was the characters weren't developed enough or presented well enough with the resold of the audience feeling nothing for them. .
At least the show was action based and it avoided getting so boring that it would be unwatchable. Not a very good show but certainly nothing awful or unwatchable. I guess is not that bad if you just want to kill some time.

Wtf was with that ending?! They just killed off all the characters that had some importance through the story and then had Tony win in a flashy manner...
Then just a mounth after the whole mess that Kuroda left, the arc station is operating and all...
After first episode i was displeased that this story Iron Man would be too "japanizated" (if i could phrase it like that") but, boy, was i ever more wrong...

Really enjoyed this show.

My only disapointment was the episode with the guy who hacks into the computers and fights Tony with that shark virus thing. He contributed nothing overall to the story andw e never find out anything about him so what was the point?

it seems his only purpose was to tell us how chika was going to die in this episode but at the same time he was able to leave so why can't she, doesn't make any sense. That episode could have been left out IMO for a better and longer finale.

oh well looking forward to wolverine, x-men and blade now :) (They should ditch blade for spider-man though)

Without that episode, Chika's sacrifice would have been out of nowhere.

The ending was rushed, and definitely could have been spit into two episodes. But I can't name an episode that should have been cut to allow them to do so.

Iron Man won because the writers decided to give him an "I Win" button at the very end. I mean, it's named after him so he's not allowed to lose. *sigh*

I'm torn between a 6/10 or 7/10. It wasn't terrible, but I did say an unenthusiastic "Really?" a lot during the series. As in "Really? You're really going to go there? Ugh." Or, "Really? That's it? That's how you're going to end that episode?"

Maybe if they stopped clashing with their Frontier Spirit and Warrior Way, this might have been a better anime.

The action scenes were good at least, but they could have done so much better with everything else.

Didn't expected that Chika to be a Zodiac. Needs more info on how did it happen. :/

The ending was rushed and so with the script.

He has been a punching bag since Yinsen Dio fought him and he just won by just a single hit.

In short, CLICHE!! Much worse than cliche we see in shounen shows.

Oh well, Sakurai's and Chika's death did touched me there.

Overall, not good but not that bad either. Thank god, it's over. lol

I would have voted 5/10 for this show but for Sakurai and Chika's death to be worth it, I'll give it a 6/10. xD

This series was okay. Dr. Tanaka being a zodiac mech operator was unexpected. I was thinking that she was just another person under mind control. The animation in the series was good. The story was bad. I liked it in the beginning when they had individual stories for each of the zodiac operators, but they stopped doing that. It just became Tony fighting the zodiac operators. There wasn't any story development.

The final fight was short and uneventful. I was expecting something a lot more exciting. It's also great to see Ichiro not stuffing his face in this episode.

I don't understand the meaning of Nanami calling Tony "Mister Stark" then deciding to call him "Stark-san" instead.

Overall it was pretty bland. The "Tony Stark in Japan" stuff was kind of interesting and a good idea for an anime series with an American main character but they don't really do much with it after the first two or so episodes.

I'm a little mystified as to what Marvel was trying to do with this thing. Is a fairly boring, fairly cheap action series really going to help sell their comics?

So we are never told how Tanaka was being controlled or how she combined her subconscious with a computer?
It was obvious she was going to die. If she lived, then Tony was going to have to marry her.

Iron Man himself was pretty weak and not quite the genius he is supposed to be. And how did he win when he was supposed to disintegrated?
I found myself wishing that Sho guy would come back.

Too much was going on that was never explained. 5/10

This series met my relatively poor expectations, which I can't say I'm too excited about.

It would have been interesting if Chika's mind somehow survived in "cyberspace", which would lead to the dilemma for Tony in terms of whether he should find a new girlfriend or not. :P

Huh, I don't know if they really hinted Chika to be a Zodiac... And if they did, I don't care enough to go back and watch it. I'm not sure how she went so long in life without knowing, and they didn't really explain how they put the robot in her or something but..it's whatever, at least it's over.

Overall, just kind of boring. I don't mind cheesy dialogue, or weird power of Love/Friendship Dues ex Machina, if it weren't so boring. I mean the Action is okay...but most of the time it looks like two action figures bumping into each other. I feel that CG has looked better than this before.

Other people have pointed out how Iron Man just gets his butt kicked a lot, and again, I wouldn't mind too much if it was interesting. But for someone who is a super genius, he really gets into tight spots due to his own stupidity.

I'll give the anime overall a 5/10, if I could replace "Average" with the word "boring"
