| Didn't use the word "otaku" as it causes contradiction everytime it's used. I apologize now for any trouble or offense caused by the stereotypes I wrote, in particular the fangirl one. (It doesn't really need to be a squeealing crazy girl, just someone that is ever loyal to any anime or character) Anyway, does anyone know how can I delete a topic I've created? I'm kinda new to the foruns. |

| Hmmm guess I would consider myself a "gamer type", since I play way more games than I watch anime. I enjoy all styles and genres of gaming too. It doesn't have to have an anime theme to it. Either or is fine. Also, to delete a topic, just go to your opening post, click edit, then click remove topic. |

| You forgot weeaboos. Anyways, I'd say I'm a Average/Gamer type. Majority of my games are somewhat related to anime or have anime related graphics. I don't play PC visual novels, they bore the hell out of me. I wouldn't mind Artist but I have no talent when it comes to drawing. Maybe I should start practicing. | Closeted average/Japanese type. My friends are clueless when it comes to my love for anime and the glorious Nippon. I'm not particularly ashamed, they just never voiced any interest in it so I never brought it up. The only piece of merch I own is a statue of Rei on a motorcycle and they think of it as "the KTM 690 SMC with that blue haired chick on it" and they think I bought it because of my unrequited love for anything with wheels and an engine and are completely oblivious to the fact that it is anime. I do plan on doing a foreign exchange program to Japan in the next year or two with my university and then possibly staying for a couple of years to teach and go on adventures after I graduate. |

| Hm, a bit of all. Average type (watches animes, reads mangas) -- I watch and read, yeah. Artist type (who likes to draw anime characters) -- I don't draw anime characters, I draw my own, though may be anime inspired. Gamer type (who spends lots of time playing games and RPGs) -- I play games, sure. Only ones related to anime are eroges, though. Japanese type (who admires Japan and dreams on going there someday) -- I am half Japanese, and go there every couple years, so it's not a dream. Fangirl/boy type (eh, I think everyone here can tell what is one.) -- I can be a bit fangurlish over some things (eg Macross). Yaoi/Yuri type (needed a different classification from average anime fan :D) -- I like yuri to a degree. I've enjoyed some "yuri" labelled series quite a bit. Detest many others, though. Writer type (who has OC's and writes fanfics) -- I write my own original works, some are "anime inspired" but I detest fanfics. So yeah. Limited options are limited. |
| The 'matured' type. I started with JRPGs, moved onto anime, starting with JRPG adaptations and shounen fighting, and then I started reading manga. Nowadays I alternate between anime and manga every month or two, and I find myself aiming for series that have more substance than school-based harems and erotic game adaptations can give. Instead of getting pumped over Soul Eater, or whatever excites children in the place of Naruto in the days where I am a man, I get all giddy over Les Miserables. And I see that as some form of gradual evolution of my tastes. |
