| Well, it was released, I watched it, and am in the process of translating it. It was a very VERY good episode. The ZKC robot girls said that this wasn't something the studio decided to do on their own, and that the OVA story was approved by the manga author. They also said that if the sales are good, they might make a second season, and that they hope to sell 20.000 copies. The highlight of this episode was Minamoto trying to kill everyone in BABEL. His voice was deliciously evil. Kyosuke stole the show for me, though, with his threats to Phantom's Daughter, and face off with Minamoto. While they didn't fight, their talk was very intense, and it was nice to see them in a reversed role. I especially loved that they made Kyosuke much more serious throughout the episode. He didn't crack a single joke until the end of the OVA, and had those cold eyes during most of the episode. I think it's because he knew that the only way to stop Minamoto was going to put Kaoru through a lot of pain. |

| Just watched it and it was just... WOW!!! Especially the scene DmonHiro mentioned. This proves, that Shiho is totally right xD (Manga Ep. 223 - Supplement) I really hope they sell enough to dicide on a second season. Hell, if i could get a copy, i whould buy it at once. |
| Chihiro is subbing it. DmonHiro is their translator, he even said in the first post that he is trasnlating it. I'm currently catching up with the manga, and I don't want to watch the OVA until I've read the parts it covers, so you don't have to hurry with the translation, DmonHiro. :P Btw I thought this would be an OVA series, so I'm a bit disappointed it's only one episode. |

| Wow, it's been quite a while already since the 1st season had ended.. really had enjoyed the TV series, was looking forward to this too. And I finally watched it, and what should I say? I very much liked it. I initially didn't really have much expectation for the OVA since you know, most single-episode OVAs that fit inbetween seasons usually aren't that good.. with a few exceptions, of course. But this ZKC OVA seems to be another one of those exceptions. Animation was good--as expected of Synergy SP-- and for a single-episode OVA the story was also fairly well paced. Plus two new songs just for the OVA! It really felt like the same ZKC I had known from the first season while successfully portraying the grown up children as well. Now I'm really looking forward to the real second season. ^0^ |

| I forgot that Fate Averruncus was in the series. From the first minute of the OVA, it never got boring, totally awesome stuff. Maybe this is because I don't read the manga. Darkness Night sure has a lame outfit though. Other than that, I guess it's time to start reading the manga. |

| Huh?? Where the hell was Fate in an ZKC OVA?? Liked the OVA as a whole, though an OVA specific script that has no relation to the manga kinda sucks, but it was expected. Hopefully they sell the 20 000 they advertised (give or take) to get season 2! |

| I don't think it will sell 20.000, it only sold around 4000 in the first week, which is really poor. And about the OVA, well, it wasn't bad, but wasn't that great either. I think it would have been better if they actually animated a part of the manga, and maybe the sales would have been better too. They also made a mistake with Double Face being the receptioners, since it was stated at the start of the Middle School arc that they have been replaced by a younger pair, and they get missions now, just like every other special espers. And I don't really recommend watching this OVA if you didn't read the manga at least up to the "The Mysterious Transfer Students" arc, because it'd be kinda confusing. I mean the stuff about Phantom Daugther and why PANDRA is in school. |

| I wouldn't say that people that don't read the manga should not watch this. It's very similar in the case of Negima, well at least for me. The anime previously released were all lacking something, but OVAs that are set later in the story kinda motivate you to start reading the manga. Of course you're taking this in all for face value, but I'm sure if this was good in somebody's eyes, it's enough to check out the manga since you don't know what's going on. |

| Clearly meant for people who follow the manga, not a giant market. Kills me to say it, but 20,000 copies is a bit of a pipe dream for a manga that gets about 70,000 sales per manga volume. Decent enough ova, I had a few problems with it, all of them stemming from how broken of a character Phantom Daughter is, but I kinda still enjoyed it (especially the chief's bit with the guillotine). |

| Well I don't see people buying 20,000 copies of a single episode....maybe if it was 3. Pretty good episode! Well paced, nice action, kept me attention from the begging. Also made me a tad confused about what's happened from the ending of Season 1 till OVA, and wanting to know more. Animation was good as usual! I could go on...but everything was great! After watching this maybe it's time I start reading the manga... I realistically don't see them selling 20,000 though...I'd really almost like to buy one just to get a second season. |

| Didn't like it. First, I was disappointed that it was fast-forward to middle school from season one again, totally not "Zettai Karen" anymore, and I guess technically not "Children" either. Second, there was just too much stuffed into those 20 minutes, everything felt a bit rushed, although the action was pretty good I admit. Lastly, I found the "buy 20k of this" thing a bit too daring >_< I know it's common practise these days, but together with the (for me) disappointing one-episode OVA, they can stick their 2nd season wherever they like.. hope they won't get good sales of this DVD, ever. Not like they can surpass season one anyway. |

| This was an anime-original episode, so you shouldn't really judge the manga because of this. The manga's middle school saga is much more awesome than the TV series and this OVA. |

| Minamoto turning evil was pretty badass. I always wondered what he was capable of with that genius intellect of his, nuking BABEL, shooting Sakaki, almost making Kaoru kill Aoi, Shiho and emotionally tormenting Kaoru. Almost seems as though he's holding back in the original series. Haven't read the manga so the appearance of PANDRA's espers in their middle school really surprised me and so did the emergence/backstory of Yuri, the phantom queen etc. Guess I know what to do next to catch up. |
| I wasn't particularly impressed by this OVA... rushed, unoriginal and confusing... not to mention it almost completely lacked the humour of the first series... and even worse cliched as brainwashing may be taking it this far and with Minamoto was a step too far for me... Anyway I just hope that if a second season is ever made it will keep following the manga from where the first season stopped and completely ignore this one. |
| So, I was lurking around and found this on Wiki: The second season is now airing, with the decision having been influenced on the sales success of the OVA. Anyone able to confirm that there is indeed a second season? Did not find anything yet. :O |

| Kaoru and Minamoto meeting on the roof was a really powerful scene. And I loved Kyousuke's one line: "Perhaps she won't save only the future of us espers." The music was awesome too. Shame Nai didn't have any lines tho :/ Overall it was incredibly rushed, but I enjoyed it~ |

| Pacing was a little too quick for my liking, but considering this was largely a market test item to guage the demand for a second season it is understandable. Sales appeared to be mediocre, but the recent spin-off The Unlimited may do well enough to help get a second season off the ground. Perhaps when the manga ends... |
