Currently reading 'The Sword of Shannara' by Terry Brooks, a bit heavy going on the description of EVERYTHING but the story's pretty interesting.
Also reading a bit of Lovecraft.

Finished a while ago "The God of Small Things". I didn't really like it, it had some really bad mistakes and bad connections. For a book that lives of the connections, it was not really well tought. Because Sophie Mol dies in two different ways.

Am now reading "Prague Guide Book", it's really fun and informative.

Done with this.

And then I intended to start a book by Aida Cordeiro, a Portuguese author, called "O Espelho da Vida Contos (Realidade e Ficção)" (Mirror of Life Short Stories (Reality and Fiction)". I intendend. This is the worst piece of shit I've ever came across in my life. I have never seen anything quite like this. No wonder it is a personal publishing. I would give this thing to the poor if it had not a dedicatory. But since it has, I may burn it. This book is evil.

Instead, I'll start "The Legend of Magic Crystals", a little Brazilian fantasy that seems entertaining enough.

Currently reading Sandkings by George R.R. Martin, it's a collection of 7 short-stories. By far my favorite story is the one that also gives the title to this volume, obviously Sandkings :) . I liked Bitterblooms a lot too, it was sad, beautiful and quite a mesmerizing experience, the other two short-stories I read are quite forgettable.
After I will finish this volume I will probably start reading an epic fantasy, either Before They Are Hanged by Joe Abercrombie or Shadow's Edge by Brent Weeks.

I really wish my school studied this instead of Animal Farm.
Really need to get around to buying this book from one of those second hand book piles. (I rather have it than just borrow it)

"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson.
I can't get past the damned first chapter. It's so dialogue-heavy and explanatory, such as "This person did that, and then this and that happened, which caused this other thing to happen. And then guess what? So-and-so did that, blah blah blah." I wish the plot would actually, you know, begin.

I read it, to see what the fuss was about, but it got worse and worse. Ya want modern vampire stuff? True Blood's better. Much. Plan to read those books once I've read a few on my shelf. Might finish Wuthering Heights next, started reading it during my A Levels but I didn't have time to finish it.

I just started the book "Infinite Love is the Only Truth. Everything Else is Illusion; Exposing the dreamworld we believe to be real" I bought it because the title caught my eye.

One page into it and I already despise the author, David Icke. It's a piece of shit and I know I'll have to do a lot of fact checking while reading it, because I don't trust the author at all.

Currently reading: Shadow's Edge by Brent Weeks, the 2nd book in the Night Angel trilogy, an epic dark fantasy. This series is way too awesome but I guess there are many people who will find this trilogy too brutal, to compare it to a fantasy manga(since we are on this forum), I would say that Berserk is a child when it comes to the brutality we get to see in the Night Angel trilogy.

btw I will most definitely read everything this author will write from now on. When it comes to fantasy he, Joe Abercrombie and Steven Erikson are by far my favorites.

Done. Dreadful grammar is dreadful. The story was pretty interesting and the world was veyr well buildt, but it was almost impossible to read this because of the horrid grammar. Too many commas, too many complicated words for a book directed at pre-teens, a lot of "I write what it sounds like". Really sad. I actually think this may be a chronic thing of the Brazilian utilization of the language, though. Tried to discuss this with my fellow citizens on another forum and they started yelling at me, and that may mean something.

Now I'm going to start a book borrowed from a friend (she simply brought it and told me to read it), by Joanne Harris: "Gentlemen & Players"

I remember Joanne Harris is entertaining, but I don't really remember anything of the books I read from her before... I hope this one is good enough to at least leave a mark.
