| They made a pretty big deal about the birthday party lol. Guess it makes sense given that it's Yuu's birthday. Some of Kannawa's moments/reactions this episode were priceless. Not going to lie, she had that kid energy this episode, which I thought was also cute and very funny. |

| Azusa showing again that she cares and it was nice to see. Seems like others are noticing her efforts as well even tho they are scared of her. Hopefully this will soften the others uo a bit. |

| 'Tis the season for a happy accident! Kannawa's putting in all this work for Kamegawa's birthday, meanwhile the trash NPCs are all, "It's so unlike Kannawa to give a shit about others!" Introverts can get such a bad reputation at times. Kamegawa seems to be very popular with the ladies. I wonder if this story was ever drafted as a harem. Kamegawa coming in clutch with his confession cliffhanger, like he read the script and knew the finale was next week. From the various misunderstandings to the previous episode's friendship declaration, no state lasts all that long in this anime. I prefer this approach over dragging them out like this genre usually does. This was a decent pick for this season. |

| The way this bday party wasn’t just for Yu, but an alleviation of years of trauma/pain Azusa had for not being accepted by her peers as a kid. She wanted to make Yu happy with a gift, but he helped her move past her regrets! We are getting that confession soon! Cannot wait, but holy shit there’s only one episode left NOO. This has been such a treat to watch every week. Just had a really warm feeling this entire episode. Azusa has come so far and it’s thanks to Kannawa and her relationships with the other two knuckleheads in the office. She just has so much more of a pep in her step, she smiles more, talks more and is more expressive. Even though she’s still the same awkward nervous wreck, she’s making progress and that matters. Her asking Yu what he wanted as a gift and then taking leadership position on his bday party planning was so good! We know how Azusa feels about Yu, but this also felt like a big step forward for Yu who just needed a little nudge from the other two and his sister to realize her values things from Azusa more than anyone else. That “My feelings for you are not just friendship!!” At the end had me kicking my feet squealing!! Teacher what she means to you please!! |

| At this rate I'm gonna get diabetes from all the sweetness. Kankaiji and Hotta casually discussion how both Azusa and Yu have a thing for each other in the elevator. So glad they're such great wingwomans for both of them instead of being romantic rivals which I've seen enough of. A group birthday party held every month? That's crazy. Tho I doubt most of them are anything special. But Azusa made it special just for her kawaii kouhai. <3 So sweet. Man, Azusa's childhood sounds really rough. Things like that must've really left a scar on her. And it's because of her childhood that she's like this now. But it could've been way worse. At least she found some new friends who're helping her become a better person. That birthday sign seemed waaaay high effort. I thought they'd just print something out and be done with it. Wouldn't be surprised if that's what they usually did and this was all Azusa's idea. But damn, spilling paint on it? At least Yu was there to help Azusa fix it up and turn it into a masterpiece. I guess at least one coworker was jealous of Azusa or something. And Yu is extremely popular despite being quite old in the company by now. That was one hell of a cliffhanger. Is he going to confess?! I can't believe there's only 1 episode left... That flew by really quickly. Can't wait. uselessDM said: Yeah, I think so. Who am I kidding. Anime like this rarely get another season. Just look at I Have a Crush at Work and 100 Days to Wedding. Wish these adult romance anime got more love. |

| I like to watch some anime, I like to talk about some anime, I dislike wars over some anime, but more than anything I love to live my life, anime is an enjoyable and entertaining addition onto my life but it's not my whole life. |

Plus finally we finally got a confession it seems from Yuu, glad they didn't stick out the friendship plot but hell I suppose we are nearly at the end of the anime so they had to throw in the confession one way or another. Honestly im really sick of these slowburn af romance anime especially when they typically only get one season. Don't get me wrong I love this anime and actually will probably pick up the manga but we need more shows like I have a crush at work, shows where they get together early or are already together which has really good development between the couple. | @Phantom_373 yeah, that's true. Even when the manga is still running, these kind of shows sometimes get wrapped up in a single season with an anime original ending. I wish that doesn't happen to this one. |

| With Azusa's relationship with Kamegawa getting better, others like Kankaiji and Hotta wanting to bring them closer together, a birthday present would suffice...if both are not aware of their liking for each other already. Of course, Azusa has to layer getting a present for Kamegawa as giving to somebody else so as not to embarrass herself, and since he requests a pair of gloves, that's what the Senpai is going with, it being her very first present for anyone outside her circle. As expected for the Kamegawa family, Yu's birthday was celebrated by friends, and within the company, it's going to be the same celebrating for him as well, so much so that it's wrapped in secrecy until the main day. However, even with Azusa's slip-up tarnishing the birthday banner with paint, her shoving Kamegawa away just to make a quick break soon becomes obvious...when he came back for his train pass left in the office, and to see what she's being up to. With the birthday party secret exposed, and Kamegawa offering to add his own personal taste to the sign, sure makes for half the job done...minus the present. Even so, Kamegawa acknowledges Azusa's awkward nature when it comes to events like this, adding up towards the amounts of times that she went above and beyond for him. Alas, while Kamegawa proves himself popular amongst the ladies, Azusa personally giving him the paw pad gloves that she's eyeing for, the former is happy either way, though it truly meant much to him because it's from his Senpai of all people. Is Kamegawa gonna confess to Azusa soon enough? PLEASE DO... |
