| Absolute banger episode, ton of good worldbuilding and action, can’t believe we only have a couple episodes left 😩 where’s this season gone, man?? I’ve said it before, but I can’t stress it enough, the sound design in this show is insane. Alicia vs Drel sounded so good. It reminds me of Sengoku Youko quite a bit actually. Gives weight to all the blows and techniques used. Speaking of Drel, we got our confirmation on the commonly held theory that he’s being manipulated by the dark beast lord of the north, but how did the beast lord know about the Hiden royal family hiding magic and the truth about the OG heroes? Or is it implied that he fought against those heroes of old since that painting at the start of Drel’s story shows heroes fighting a dragon? At any rate, are we gonna get to see Clevatess take on another beast lord at some point? That’d be dope Seeing how close Drel and Alicia father were makes his betrayal and savage way he killed Margo that much more messed up. It’s pretty ironic how Margo gave up the sword to Drel to finish off the dragon and it still ended up costing Margo his life because drel went insane after that and eventually killed him. Still cracking up at Klen having Luna piss on the forge activation panel to get it to open up, whole time Luna himself is apparently the key? And the king’s alive wtf?? They dropped a lot on us today, I needed a double length episode lol |

| Flashbacks Into Dorel's past shows how he developed his conviction, gained the dragon power, and how he came into contact with the northern demon king. his mission on the surface is simple thirst for power but his attention is probably far more sinister. What an unbelievable turn of events with the King and Luna, I guess it got to do with the "naming ritual", the king tomb was guarded for everyone's safety it seems. I certainly want to know the truth about the furnace.  |

| Interesting, I think in the end neither magic nor the weapons are the solution. It seems to me that the hero weapons are the equal of any magic cast by human wizards. |

| The two main things I really wanna know from this episode, 1. How the hell is the decapitated king still able to walk and talk !? 2. How in the world do you stuff up so badly against a dragon due to a pebble ?! Like, I know we learnt that technique makes you only focus on rage or something like that from a previous episode...but still a single pebble was enough to make you lose your leg and then all your dreams of becoming a hero ?!?!? Besides all that this was a pretty good episode again this week and I loved it when the bone dragon appeared there at the end :} |

| Great to see Gart again. His "magic" is a nice way to carry Rhode to where the action is happening. Drel's backstory with Margo was pretty cool. It's hard to feel good about dragon slaying when an even bigger threat appears right after. I think he unknowingly has something in common with Alicia, if that voice in his head means anything. Of all the characters I expected to show up at the forge, the headless Hiden King was not one of them. I hope he has good intentions for his grandson because Klen is eager to be a spectator for now. |

| So Drel is like Alicia, reanimated after being crushed by a giant foot, but I think he just doesn't know he's got a dark lord's ichor inside him and just sees it as a voice whispering instead. I wonder if he thinks it's the dragon whispering. He's right that there's some word shit going on with magic though, considering the souls requirements for the regalia and whatever is going on with the headless king, the forge, and Luna. I appreciate that Drel didn't betray Margo in the fight with the dragon and only took the sword when it was intentionally passed to him. |

| So the Hidean king is a dullahan. Some sort of immortality, likely a combination of bloodline and the ritual in the magic forge. Regalia completes with the soul of its first kill. At bit dark for what many of us would consider 'heroic'. Looks like we are going to get a ritual of making the prince immortal by magical/holy purifying flames. In Greek mythology, the example is Demeter and the prince Demophone of Eleusis, part of the founding myth of Cult of Demeter at Eleusis and The Eleusian Mysteries. |

So we saw Drel's past but that just made me think more that he had no reason to kill Alicia's dad as they pretty close and there didn't seem to be any bad blood between them. Did I miss something on why Drel went out of his way to do that?
| @ImmortalZero We well it seems that after he got turned into a blood puddle from that flash back seems like that was when Vordein put his Dark Ichor in Drel. So how much of Drel being in control of himself is debatable. Like we know from Alicia, Clevatess can just straight-up command her to do something. Also Vordein communicating with what Drel called whispers sounds a lot like the telepathy between Clevatess and Alicia. Who knows what kinda things Vordein has been telling Drel for years, but it definitely seems to have changed him. He seemed skeptical of the legend as we can see from the flashback, but now he is militantly opposed to it. So he definitely changed in that regard. Also honestly being manipulated and controlled by a dark beast it make sense he would be so staunch about destroying the legend. |
| Drel wasn’t at all what I expected in his youth alongside Margo. I thought he’d betray Margo and steal the sword, but even with jealousy toward his disciple, he chose to help him. Due to fate—and Margo’s bad luck—Drel ended up receiving the sword to slay the dragon. Honestly, I think Drel might be under the control of Vordin, the King of Northern Magical Beasts. In his flashback, we only see Vordin stomp him and vanish, which makes me suspect he used demonic blood to turn Drel into his servant—similar to what Clevatess did. But unlike Alicia, Drel doesn’t seem to have control over himself… though that’s just a theory. Either way, whether it’s Drel’s idea or Vordin’s, the legend of the heroes seems like a lie. This ties back to what was hinted at in earlier episodes—that the Divine Treasures’ powers actually come from absorbing Magical Beasts. And now that the King of Hedin is alive, things are looking very suspicious. Either he’s not dead, or he’s some kind of zombie—or maybe he can’t fully die until he transfers his power to an heir… or steals it from one. This is getting seriously good. We need a second season. |

| @Apratim Yea I wonder about the king too. I would not call that exactly alive. Hes more like a reanimated corpse. My guess is something either from the forge reanimated him or it's an other dark beast lord. If that's the case then we have Clevatess, Vordein via Drell, Zaftier via Gart and I guess the fourth lord via the King if that's the case. In which case this is one big proxy war except for Clevatess who is there directly. |

| This episode felt too short as I was engrossed in it, especially when Drel explained to Alicia what happened to her father. On that note it's cool that Alicia's dad was a hero even if it didn't last. Also, I think it's pretty much confirmed that Drel is being influenced by a dark beast lord, kind of how Alicia is too. Anyways, lots of things going on and the king formally thought as dead has taken his grandson potentially hostage as he's dangling him over the forge?! |

| Very interesting backstory between Dorel and Margo (Alicia's father), it's even worse for his case now, and Alicia 100% need her revenge. Also things on Clevatess' sides are not looking great as well with the beheaded king |

| Ok, yeah this show has been very unpredictable. With the amount of weight the characters were too light, and how much clevatess feels like an other being when he assumes his HUMAN-sona was not just for show. The last bit of the scenes confirms this. If the hero, or Nelluru saw what the *unnamed very spoiler heavy* character was doing they would lose their minds. But Clevatess, he just wants to know, "WHY? and what is the purpose of them *humaniods* doing this kind of a thing? is this their norm?" of course , to us the viewers as we take in the lore told by the person that is not a king, ruler, or opposer we *the audience* tend to take in the lore infomation at face value. Now, Drel is the opposer to the current hierarchy of the world. Where the survival of their *humaniods* exists is hanging on the beasts not eating them, followed closely by their land ownership. With that in mind, the HIGHEST chance of survival means that the *ima call em Dr. suss characters* Hydeans. Where they hold the infomation on how to survive longer, due to their longer existence than the other humanoids. This lets them build whatever narrative and hiercry in the humanoid socity to best their adantange. That being said, what is the truth? and what might actaully be going on? Idk The show does really well to flesh out the world, and the characters that inhabit them, but take a microscopic lens to take a closer look at said characters and they end up feeling a bit... flat. Now, Clevatess gives of a naive curious creator who will do anything to find out what is behind anyone action. Although, the other characters, dont have much going for them but I might be blindsided and not noting their characters shine. But ATM im liking the world building more than the characters, due to the fact that most of the characters sort of act on the principle of the world that is sort of guiding them and helping them build their will from their surrounding environment. Anyway, rating time. Plot: 7/10 most backstory to build context to the *spoiler characters* action at the last min of the episode Characters: 5/10 very noticeable decline, did not feel it this episode Theme: 4/10 ~ flashback ~ Ost: beep/boop there was a lot of blades clashing, very fun Overall: 5/10 IDK, i might stop writing about this show later and this episode is not helping the case. I might swap it with another show tbh. ANYWAY, BYEE |

| Crazy episode! Interesting backstory. So Dorel got killed just like Alicia and resurrected, but is he supported by the red dragon Boss, or is Drel simply his puppet? Red dragon is intriguing. King Haiden is alive, or maybe not? Could be a manipulated corpse. Man, this show better get S2, it's very entertaining. If Dorel dies though, I may be pissed. He's a good "villain." |
