This includes but is not limited to topics about:
- gender, sexual orientation, lgbt, homophobia
- race, xenophobia, immigration
- sexual assault, abortion
- pedophilia, lolicon/shotacon, incest, teenage-adult relationships
- politics, political ideologies, laws, policies
- controversial public figures/leaders, hate groups
- religion
- drugs, illegal activities

| Rule #7, for sure. It supposedly only exists because "controversial" threads lead to toxicity, and apparently the solution to this is to lock/delete the threads themselves rather than banning the users who are being toxic. |

| I say abolish the rule against controversy. That is broad enough to shut down any discussion that is not an echo chamber. As an example, I had a topic literally discussing Square Enix's public dei hiring policy on their website. Apparently that was shut down due to controversy. Square Enix's corporate hiring power point was too controvercial to talk about on mal. |
