| When first released i remember the rating of the show being slightly above average (7.4ish), that was also when the anime got the most views. Seeing it in the upcoming years increasing steadily makes me very happy, who knows if we are ever going to see it get pass the 8.0 mark. This is also a prime example on how modern MAL ratings are pretty much based on normies standards, usually avant-garde animes hardly get over 8... the ones who do are usually overwhelmingly good. |

| Why do you care about MAL ratings in the first place? Just rate it and forget about the MAL score. I rated hundreds of series higher/lower than their MAL score. And wtf are normies standards? Are they normies since they don't rate high the show you like? I'm sorry but that make no sense. That isn't the definition of normie. As someone who rated Sonny Boy 7/10 and like avant-garde, myserious, psychological shows, you're implying others are inferior for not rating this show high/liking other genres which some people in this thread are making me to believe too.
