It's also extremely memorable and unique with the way the cuts are put next to each other and the specific colour pallet, there isn't any other poster quite like it. |

I mean you should also look at posters along with the titles. For a show that is basically called "a celebration for death" this poster instantly should give an idea on the tone, style, and feel of the show. I can see why you may not consider it as great as I do. but It is DEFINITELY not awful, awful-generic posters don't have style or thought put into them. That does not look like it at all though And this is actually a good example of how good the death parade poster is in terms of colour contrast. Look at all might and decu, they had to highlight them in white because it would have been hard to see them with a backdrop that colourful, and they STILL pop out FAR less than decim in that poster. The alternative poster isn't bad, in fact it's pretty solid, but it's nothing special. It doesn't tell you much, and makes death parade like look like horror anime, which it definitely isn't, at least it's definitely not the focus. |

| @eli_shmeli They weren't cowards, you literally mentioned the stained glass, so you know why they did it !!!! how is creating a cohesive poster that is stylish bad? like if the characters had colours, it would take away the stained glass visual, AND make it look like a mess. why would they do that? This poster is actually built up on the poster for the short film that was kind of the pilot for death parade, that one also goes for the stained glass look in a more literal way: But while that makes it unique, it's hard to tell what is going on in one glance, and sacrifices the characters popping out, at the sacrifice of the stained glass style. This new one, not only fixes that issue, it also gives it a certain visual that doesn't even fully like normal stained glass, it just feels like it does. it fixes the issue, makes it more colourful, and creates a new visual identity that is even more unique looking than it just being stained glass. |
