I doubt. While it started well, I don't think it will be able to be good.
I'm still waiting Kusuriya no Hitorigoto and Pluto. Those are my guesses as best of the season.

Well, it won't. Frieren: Beyond The Journey's End is currently the number 1 anime of this season. As for me, my own list is:

1) Frieren: Beyond The Journey's End.
2) Shangri-la Frontier.
3)Undead Unluck.
4)Ragna Crimson.

Pluto and Apothecary Diaries are coming so it's only a matter of time. Alas, anyone could rise to number 1 but Frieren's anime currently holds that spot.

bleach was also on Disney+ and Hulu and that was a highlight on fall 2022

I was literally about to skip this anime thinking it will be boring but seeing the rating got curious and finally watched it on whim and HOLY WHAT THIS IS SOO GOOD I cant believe I was about to skip this I think for me this feels like the best one in this session and might also turn out to be the best of this year depending on the rest of the season but yeah in this session definitely this one is on my top 1 right now

It never lost it’s purpose, it shows you early on they’re going to go on a similar journey to Himmel the Hero’s journey, except this time Frieren is going to cherish her time spent with her party, and appreciate the connections she makes. All of it is part of the journey, which is the main appeal of the series, including Fern’s test arc. If you don’t like it that’s fine, but it definitely never “lost it’s purpose”.

I dropped it around chapter 70 because it felt like the story was going nowhere, even after the exam arc ended

Tbh I loved the first two episodes so much that I went ahead and am binge reading the manga and boy oh boy is it jaw droppingly crazy.
Its gets so awesome with each chapter, I Highly recommend this manga. Its one of the most over the top and clever shounen's I've ever read or seen.
If they adapt the manga well this may very well be anime of the season for sure!

It is really funny and cool. I honestly wasn't waiting for it but I was happily surprised how much I enjoyed it.
I don't know about the anime of the season, it doesn't have that much people watching it. Might be top 3 if we would take only action, but it don't have that much hype for now at least.

So in no particular order I’d say Undead Unluck, Shangri-La Frontier, Frieren, The Kingdoms of ruin and Shy are shows I went in knowing very little about and have been pleasantly surprised with. Especially Shy because I initially thought it was going to be meh, and it might end up being that once it’s all said and done but so far I like it as well as the other shows mentioned.
