| HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLY WHAT A FUCKING CHAPTER First of all, kind of an anti-climactic end to this arc, I kind of wish we got a bigger fight with the weapons. Second, what the FUCK do you MEAN the only actual appearance of the Justice Devil was in the Falling Devil Arc??????????? WHO HAVE WE BEEN SEEING ALL THIS TIME??? I've been saying this for a while but I think the "Justice Devil" is the overarching antagonist of the entire part. Whoever, it is, they are super important. I also think they have some connection to Faux Chainsaw Man, but who knows. If I'm right about that then that would make two identities this devil has stolen, does that have to do with its name? Also, ASA ARM CUT OFF?????????????????????? COME ON!!!!!!!! Shit is about to go DOWN between Yoshida and Yoru next chapter I AM SO EXCITED!!  |

| Not gonna lie, while I loved most of part 2 so far, reading the Chainsaw Man Church arc weekly has been a bit frustrating. I can't seem to understand what the arc is aiming to tell, with the core storyline changing every two or so chapters, I kinda feel like I keep seeing a story being cut off by a new story before it's once again cut off by another story. I'll try to reread the whole arc in one sitting when it's over, maybe it'll work better that way than weekly. |

| What a profund chapter! This is one of Tatsuki Fujimoto's heartbreaking chapter. 😣😢 The "Kumbaya" lyrics is a religious song to praise the Lord. When Barem Bridge sang it as he was being arrested (and while he's watching the sun sets), the panel transitions to Yoshida cutting off Asa's right arm (before Asa can even transform apartment room 606 into a weapon). (Note the apartment number: 606. Fujimoto-sensei could have used apartment room # 666, but he didn't.) As a reader of Chainsaw Man even before the anime aired, I am just flabbergasted by the storytelling skills of the author. In this chapter, it's revealed that when Asa and Denji were fleeing using a motorcycle, they were actually fleeing from the real Justice Devil; meaning, the Chainsaw Man Church followers were tricked!!! The minors and the other illegal devil hunters of the Church made a contract with a pseudo/fake Justice Devil (which in this case, is Fami/the Famine Devil, as the MAL commenters of this chapter assumes). Also, upon re-reading Chapter 143, I realized that the fake Justice Devil (the old man co-running the Chainsaw Man Church with Iseumi)... well... that old guy called Haruka Iseumi the founder of the Chainsaw Man Church. 😳 (I overlooked that part, and have just been putting the pieces together after re-reading Chapters 143-145 today). Anyway, Fumiko Mifune tried to recruit Barem to join Public Safety Devil Extermination Special Division 7. What the heck? Why? Also, the arm-cutting, or that last panel will likely result to a Yoshida versus Asa/Yoru fight-off!! 😱 |

So is it safe to say Famine is the one giving out all the contracts to Justice Devil users? Also, Barem is way too calm for the situation, he knows what’s gonna happen if there’s some sort of contingency or alternative plan
| @Stephen8188 You hit the nail right on the head when you mentioned Fami giving out Justice Devil contracts to the different users: to Asa's classmate (the class president) at the beginning of Part 2; to Yuko (Asa's friend); and to the old man of the Chainsaw Man Church. Also, the diner monster that the Falling Devil serves food to inside the portal (the door that transports to the other world) might be the real Justice Devil. |

| @NintenZura I have to re-read portions of Part 1 to remind myself how Quanxi died. Then, re-read Volumes 15 to 16 of Part 2 to wrap my head around the storyline we are in today. It's worth to re-read previous chapters just to help me jog my head around the latest ones (especially with the Justice Devil twists being introduced to readers now). |
