| They finally gave up and just went full-tilt on the Minecraft references with everything they're doing lmao I mean there's no avoiding it now that they're scouting for fuel, resources, and building a wheat farm Wonder if them waking up a chef means we're going to start getting Food Wars references next. Or maybe it's as simple as needing yeast? My heart still really breaks though for the descendants of the survivors, how a little basic modern innovation could've saved them from starvation if they had a bad fishing year. Even Ryusui had to stop bragging after seeing how bad they've had it. |

| I'm glad that I finally got around to watching the Ryuusui special a few days ago and it was very fresh on my mind, so it made the first episode of the new Dr Stone season much smoother and more enjoyable. =) As with that special, Ryuusui continues to be one amusing character with his quirks and greed, but I still like how much he's helping Senku and the other with the ultimate plan of heading to the source of the petrification beam. Before that, though, this episode was focused on agriculture and food, which is one of the main things that was holding back the population of Ishigami village from growing. Taiju is now head farmer with his skill set and the area close to Tsukasa's old base now looks more like a proper farm. Throughout this episode, I really like the inclusion of a few scenes where everything went all Minecraft CGI to depict the group's new objectives and achievements. The OP/ED songs are pretty good and the production values feels pretty much the same as before, so that leaves me satisfied. With Dr Stone, Vinland Saga S2 second cour and Demon Slayer airing in the same season, it does feel like a throwback to the 2019 Summer season, huh? =D |

| YES IT'S BACK! Good thing they continued from where they left off in the special. This episode was quite fast paced but not an issue. Minecraft style animation was the best part of this episode. I guess there'll be a future Collab soon. The OP is OK. I really hope Burnout syndromes performs a new song for Dr. Stone in the future. Loved the ED, it surprised me. I wasn't expecting Okamoto's would perform for Dr. Stone. |
