| like the way I see it, season one of kaguya is really great, but 2 and 3 are a whole level above it while being both about as good as each other. so I don't get why the gap between the score of season 1 and 2 is smaller than season 2 and 3. I think 2 and 3 are pretty much on the same level. and I still think the best episode in the series is easily the ishigami backstory. so, am I alone in thinking this? or is there another reason the jump from s1-2 is smaller than the jump from s2-3. |

I mean of course. but what I'm asking is exactly that. s2 is when the show blew up. so why is it that s2 and one only have a 0.23 difference, but season 2 and 3 have a 0.42 difference. wouldn't it make sense for the bigger gap to be from s1 and 2? |

Also it’s some random score on some random website it doesn’t mean anything. so why is the season 2-3 gap bigger? |

| S1 rated by 1M users S2 rated by 781k users S3 rated by 418k users Sequel bias is proportional to the gap in the amount of users who rated the anime: the less people watch a sequel, the more the score will be inflated. As a matter of fact, s2 was rated 8.80 by 257k users back in October 2020 (59% of those who watched s1 back then, compared to the current 78%). |
