 Sony Pictures Entertainment announced a new CG anime movie based on Capcom's Biohazard (Resident Evil) video game series titled Biohazard: Death Island (Resident Evil: Death Island) on Tuesday, scheduled to premiere in Japan in Summer 2023. Kadokawa opened an official website for the movie, revealing the main staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser trailer.The title marks the fifth installment in the franchise following Biohazard: Degeneration (Resident Evil: Degeneration), Biohazard: Damnation (Resident Evil: Damnation), Biohazard: Vendetta (Resident Evil: Vendetta), and Biohazard: Infinite Darkness (Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness).
