| The set-up with the military is actually a pretty original and well-implemented idea for a shounen and, just going by how some tabletop board games work, something like this would make sense to introduce at this stage of the game. I don't think it's bad at all. |

I don't think it's bad at all. I completely agree, this is a really interesting take on the shonen genre and Gege-san is doing a great job executing it. I know the soldiers have little to no chance, but I kinda like to see one sided desperation battles like what's being set up. |

| Nice, we get more information on Kenjaku's plan and the military finally comes back into the picture for a short stay (looks like they'll be wiped out within a night of entering colonies). But I simply cannot understand the people complaining about the military developments and culling game arc, truly mind boggling how cookie cutter y'all want your story to be. And then you have people who are confused about what's happening even though it's all explained black and white... shounen readers have limited brain activity. |

| so the military wasn't the least bit suspicious that some evil guy with magic powers who's willing to sell out his country wouldn't trick them? also i wonder if this will be the final arc? i miss nobara. i feel like a lot of good characters got killed / went missing and the new characters (culling arc) aren't particularly interesting. it doesn't help that there's so much going on at once, by the time we get back to yuji I can barely remember what's even going on and who's who. i feel like this manga is probably better read on one sitting than weekly. |
