| Pain. Unlimited Pain Works. I swear I've read a yuri series with this exact plot but it was a lot more happy until the end. Can't remember the name of it like. Could be Vampire X Junior-chan but don't think it was that. Well, time to leave this series for another century until it has some new chapters. Can't believe it was 2 years ago that I started reading this. Been reading manhwa so much that I forgot how much slower manga was. Guess it sticks with you longer making the ending more impactful. (And this one I can tell will hit hard) From the looks of it the ending will be a melancholic ending of Shizuku moving on with her life, becoming an author, getting along with people again and then remember "the summer you were there". (Makes me tear up hearing that title now in that context) |

There was also a second "promise" of a sort which mirrored the "will she live long enough" vibe that the love story promise gives off and that was seeing the stewartias bloom again. #3) Will Kaori die in hospital or be allowed to die at home. Sara was allowed to spend her remaining days at home instead of in hospital. #4) Will Kaori and Shizuru get married before Kaori dies. They got married before Sara died. |
